Where Servomex gas analyzers are used

01What do SERVOTOUGH, SERVOPRO and SERVOFLEX mean on a Servomex analyzer?
They are family names. SERVOTOUGH analyzers are designed for hazardous areas and outdoor or field locations, SERVOPRO analyzers for safe areas such as analyzer shelters, control rooms and laboratories, and SERVOFLEX analyzers are portable instruments. The product name and number that follow, for example OxyExact 2200 or 4900 Multigas, identify the technology and model.
02Why is the full stream composition needed for a Servomex analyzer?
Background gases affect every measurement principle. Paramagnetic oxygen readings are influenced slightly by other gases, photometric analyzers must be set up to avoid spectral overlap, and corrosive or condensing components decide the sample wetted materials. With the complete composition, including water and trace components, the configuration can be matched to the manufacturer's application data.
03Which approvals does Servomex offer for hazardous areas?
SERVOTOUGH analyzers are built for hazardous area use, and the Micro i.s. 5100 portable is certified for Zone 0 and Zone 1. The certification scheme and rating depend on the model and version and are part of the order code, so state the zone or division, gas group and temperature class your site requires. We provide the manufacturer's certificate for the ordered configuration on request.
04What measuring principle does the SERVOPRO NanoTrace DF-550E use?
The DF-550E belongs to the SERVOPRO DF-500 series of coulometric analyzers for ultra-trace oxygen. Oxygen in the sample is reduced in an electrochemical cell, and the resulting current is proportional to the oxygen content. Servomex states a lower detection limit of 200 parts per trillion for this model and describes the sensor as non-depleting. It is aimed at high purity and electronic gases.
