The Condumax II is an automatic hydrocarbon dew-point analyzer for natural gas. Several of its parts are listed separately: the CD2-SCR-002 hydrocarbon dew-point sensor cell, the CD2-WDC-002 water dew-point sensor assembly and the CD2-SX-WDC-002, which is the exchange version of that water dew-point sensor. The Easidew line is represented by the Easidew EA2 dew point transmitter and by the Easidew PRO I.S., an intrinsically safe moisture transmitter for hazardous areas. A ceramic impedance moisture sensor module is also listed, the sensing element behind these transmitters.
Where Michell analyzers are used
Hydrocarbon and water dew point are contract quality parameters for natural gas, so the Condumax II is found at gas processing plants, pipeline entry points and custody transfer stations. Easidew transmitters monitor dryers for instrument air and industrial gases, glove boxes, and dry gas feeds to processes that cannot tolerate water.

01What is the difference between CD2-WDC-002 and CD2-SX-WDC-002?
Both codes refer to the water dew-point sensor assembly of the Condumax II. On this site CD2-WDC-002 is listed as the sensor assembly itself and CD2-SX-WDC-002 as the sensor exchange item for the same position. Tell us which arrangement your maintenance plan follows and give the analyzer serial number, so the right code is checked with the manufacturer's documentation.
02What is the CD2-SCR-002 used for?
CD2-SCR-002 is the hydrocarbon dew-point sensor cell of the Condumax II analyzer, the part where the gas sample is cooled and the first hydrocarbon condensate is detected. It is specific to that analyzer. When ordering, add the analyzer serial number and describe the fault or the service interval that prompted the replacement.
03Which Michell transmitter is suitable for a hazardous area?
The Easidew PRO I.S. listed here is the intrinsically safe transmitter and must be installed with a suitable barrier or isolator as shown in the manufacturer's control drawing. The exact marking and certificates are on the datasheet for the ordered version. Tell us your zone, gas group and certification scheme so the correct variant is quoted.
04How do I specify an Easidew dew-point transmitter?
Give the measuring span, the unit you want on the output (dew point or ppm), the process connection thread, the output signal and the operating pressure. Add the gas being measured, since some gases affect sensor choice. If you are replacing an existing unit, the order code on its label is the fastest route to an identical transmitter.
