Endress+Hauser Dosimass Compact Coriolis Flowmeter
Description
Endress+Hauser Dosimass compact Coriolis meter for filling and dosing
The Endress+Hauser Dosimass is a compact Coriolis flowmeter designed for filling, bottling and batching. The manufacturer positions it for system integrators, skid builders and machine makers who need mass or volume flow, density and temperature in very little space, and who need repeatable results on liquids with widely different viscosity and density. The Dosimass pairs a small sensor with an ultra-compact transmitter, and it is offered in two sensor families that cover DN 1 to 4 and DN 8 to 40. Seven Star LLC supplies the Dosimass in Oman and the GCC as an independent supplier in Muscat and prepares quotations from your batch size, fluid and communication requirements.
Because it measures mass directly through the Coriolis effect, the Dosimass does not rely on liquid conductivity or on a calibration against a specific fluid, which is why it suits filling lines that change between products. Batch control is supported through switch outputs and communication options on the transmitter.
How the Dosimass sensor works
The measuring tube is driven at resonance. Flowing liquid causes a phase shift between the inlet and outlet vibration, which is proportional to mass flow, while the shift in resonance frequency gives density. Temperature of the tube is measured to compensate the result. The technical information describes two different tube designs, one for DN 1 to 4 and one for DN 8 to 40, but the evaluated variables are the same: mass flow, volume flow, density and temperature.
Because the signals are produced by tube motion rather than by an element in the flow, the readings stay independent of viscosity and density changes, and there are no moving parts to wear in the stream.
Dosimass sizes, ranges and construction
Nominal diameters are DN 1, 2 and 4 for the small sensor, and DN 8, 15, 25 and 40 for the larger one. The page lists a measuring range up to 45 000 kg/h, a maximum mass-flow error for liquids of ±0.15 %, and a liquid density error of ±0.0005 g/cm³. The medium temperature range is −40 to +130 °C (150 °C allowed for one hour) and the maximum process pressure is PN 40.
Wetted materials depend on size: 1.4435 (316/316L) for DN 1 to 4, and 1.4539 (904L) for DN 8 to 40, with process connections in the same grades. Standard degree of protection is IP67, Type 4X, and the ambient range is −40 to +60 °C.

Outputs, batching and IO-Link on the Dosimass
Two electrical variants are described. One has IO-Link plus a pulse/frequency/switch output; the other has Modbus RS485 with two switch outputs for batch control, a status output and a status input. IO-Link makes the meter easy to parameterise from the machine PLC and to replace without a laptop. Digital inputs and outputs carry DC 10 to 30 V or 15 to 30 V signal levels, as specified in the document. Hygienic approvals 3-A and EHEDG are available on the sensor.
Installing the Dosimass on a filling machine
Mount the sensor in the orientation recommended for its size so that it drains and so that gas cannot collect in the tube, and keep the meter on the filling-valve side where the pipe stays full. Use the supplied sensor holder or a rigid bracket so machine vibration does not couple into the measuring tube. For CIP and SIP, check the cleaning temperature against the −40 to +130 °C limit.
After mounting, zero the meter on a filled, non-flowing line using the procedure in the operating instructions, and run a trial batch against a reference weight before releasing production.
Typical Dosimass applications in Oman and the GCC
In the Gulf the Dosimass fits bottling and canning lines for water, juice and dairy, filling of lubricants, additives and chemical concentrates, and the dosing of reagents in water treatment skids. Compact size matters on packaged skids that are shipped as a unit and installed in hot, dusty buildings, and the sealed housing handles washdown. OEMs in the region exporting machines can specify the same device for European and Gulf customers.

Site conditions in Oman for the Dosimass
Field instruments in Oman are exposed to strong sun, high ambient temperature, wind-blown dust and, on coastal plants, salt in the air. When you specify the Dosimass, check the ambient and process temperature limits, the enclosure rating and the wetted and housing materials against the actual installation point, and consider sunshades for transmitters mounted in direct sunlight. Cable entries should be sealed with suitable glands so that dust and moisture cannot enter the housing.
Calibration and verification planning matters as much as selection. Record the range, configuration and tag data of each Dosimass at commissioning, define a check interval that suits the criticality of the loop, and keep the certificates with the plant documentation so that audits and shutdown work can proceed without delay.
Documents and quotation
A copy of the manufacturer technical information for the Dosimass is attached on this page so you can check ranges, connections and ordering codes against your specification.
Send the full order code or the process data (fluid, temperature, pressure, line size or tank data, output and approvals) and Seven Star LLC will prepare a quotation and confirm lead time. We are an independent supplier in Muscat and do not represent the manufacturer.

About brand
Endress+Hauser makes process measurement instruments for flow, level, pressure, temperature and liquid analysis. Georg H. Endress and Ludwig Hauser started the business in Lörrach, Germany, on 1 February 1953, first selling level meters, and the Endress+Hauser name has been used since 1957. The group is headquartered in Reinach, Switzerland, and has been wholly owned by the Endress family since 1975.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier listing Endress+Hauser flowmeters, level and pressure transmitters, temperature assemblies and liquid analysis products for buyers in Oman and the GCC. Instruments are matched from the full order code on the nameplate.

Where Endress+Hauser instruments are used
In Oman and the GCC, Endress+Hauser instruments are common in oil and gas production and processing, refineries and petrochemicals, desalination and water networks, wastewater treatment, power plants and food and beverage plants. Coriolis meters measure hydrocarbon and chemical flows, electromagnetic meters cover water and wastewater, radar transmitters handle tank and silo level, and Liquiline analysers monitor water quality. Proline 300 and 500 flowmeters include Heartbeat Technology for in-situ verification, which reduces the need to remove a meter for checks.
Ordering Endress+Hauser instruments: what we need
The order code on the nameplate (for example PMP71-1QA1S11RDADU) defines every option: measuring range, process connection, materials, output, approvals and display. Send it with the serial number; Endress+Hauser can retrieve the original configuration from the serial number. For a new instrument add the medium, operating and design pressure and temperature, range, line size or tank geometry, process connection, wetted materials, output or protocol (4-20 mA HART, PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus) and the hazardous-area approval required. Older models such as Promass 80/83 or Micropilot M are replaced by current Proline or 80 GHz Micropilot devices.
