Measurement Principle

Coriolis flow meters are multi-variable devices providing direct measurement of mass flow, density, and temperature for liquids, slurries, and gases, based on the principle that inertia created by fluid flow causes the meter tubes to twist proportional to mass flow rate. The Emerson Micro Motion ELITE CMF Series spans an unusually wide sizing range for a single sensor family, from the CMF010 at 0.1 in / DN2 with a nominal flow rate near 93.5 kg/h, through the CMF100 (DN25), CMF200 (DN50) and CMF300 (DN80), up to the CMF400 covering DN100–150.
