Rheonik RHM40 Coriolis Mass Flow Meter Sensor 1500 kg/min
Description
For loading, transfer and high-temperature process lines
The Rheonik RHM40 is the Coriolis sensor Rheonik names for demanding applications. Its listed duties include plant balance, terminal transfer, mixing and batching, high temperature fluids, and barge, ship, rail car and truck filling. With a typical range of 20 to 1500 kg/min and a fluid temperature span from -196 C to +350 C, one meter can serve cryogenic or hot-oil lines that would otherwise need different technologies.
The meter is used with an RHE transmitter, mounted on the sensor or remote, and the datasheet quotes a 100 m maximum cable length to a remote unit.
Key datasheet points
- Pressure ratings up to 433 bar (6280 psi) depending on tube material.
- Mass flow uncertainty down to 0.1%; repeatability down to 0.05%.
- Measurement updates at 4 kHz with RHE40 series electronics.
- AnyPipeFit custom process connections and a compact body.
- Hazardous-area approvals chosen in the order code.

Tube materials and maximum pressure
At 50 C the datasheet lists M1 SS 316Ti at 164 bar, H1 Alloy C22 at 213 bar, D2 Super Duplex at 258 bar, D3 Super Duplex at 433 bar and T1 tantalum at 64 bar. At 350 C the standard M1 tube is rated 107 bar. Process flanges can reduce the final rating, so match the ANSI class or DIN PN to the line design pressure.
Choosing a configuration
The standard flange list is ANSI 3 in 150#, 300#, 600# (A21 to A23), RTJ 900#, 1500# and 2500# (R14 to R16) and DIN DN80 PN40 and PN100 (D12 and D13). Terminal boxes are JM (coated aluminum), SM (stainless steel) or an integral cable to a remote transmitter. Pick the calibration (A, B, G or low-flow 1) and density option (N, S or D) when you build the code.
Order code decoding
The sealless PF design is the only one listed for this size, so there are no connection-block seals to choose. Examine the approval field (A0, A1, A2, C0 or C2) together with the terminal box, because the datasheet states that the JM aluminum box is not available with hazardous area approval A0. Optional accessories are a wall mount bracket (M) and a floor mount bracket (MF). The factory services field offers material certificates and pressure-test certificates to EN 10204 3.1 (D1 and D2) and an IP66/67 dual rating upgrade. Two calibration variants are printed: B enhanced at 0.15% over three points and a low-flow option at 0.10% over four points.
Accuracy and turn-down
Because the zero point stability is 0.15 kg/min for a standard sensor, uncertainty stays at the calibration figure above roughly 75 kg/min at the 0.2% level (derived from the datasheet formula) and rises below that. Choose the premium option if you must run low in the range.
Mounting and electrical options
Two terminal boxes are offered: the coated aluminum JM box (125 x 80 x 57 mm) and the stainless steel SM box (100 x 100 x 61 mm), both with an M20 x 1.5 cable entry as standard. Alternatively an integral PTFE cable (TM) runs to the transmitter. The datasheet lists wall and floor mount brackets (M and MF) for the transmitter and states a maximum cable length of 100 m (330 ft) to a remote RHE unit. Choose the pressure design compliance field, PED or other, that your inspection regime requires.
Where it fits in the GCC
Tanker and truck loading bays, fuel terminals, refinery blending headers and chemical transfer lines use mass metering to settle quantities independent of temperature and density. High-temperature capability helps for hot heavy fuels and heat-transfer oils.
When requesting a quotation, also confirm the terminal box cable entry thread, the pressure design compliance field and whether a rupture disc housing is wanted, because each of these is a separate field of the order code. Material certificates to EN 10204 3.1 can be requested through the factory services field.
Selection and installation notes
A Coriolis sensor is sized from the flow range and the pressure drop, so confirm the fluid, density, viscosity, operating pressure and temperature before ordering. Mount the sensor on a rigid support without stressing the pipe, keep it full of liquid, avoid mounting where vibration from pumps reaches it and follow the orientation and drain advice in the manual. Zero the meter with no flow once the line is full, record the settings, and choose the electronics and output type that match the control system.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Rheonik designs and manufactures Coriolis mass flow meters and the transmitters that drive them, with its head office in Odelzhausen, Germany. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Rheonik sensors and transmitters with their official datasheets for oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and filling applications in Oman and the GCC.
Rheonik sensors and transmitters
The RHM sensor range spans small dosing meters of a few kilograms per minute to large terminal meters rated for tens of thousands of kilograms per minute, with tube materials and pressure ratings chosen through the order code. The RHE transmitters cover Ex d field mounting, wall mounting, all-digital fieldbus electronics and compact panel or DIN rail units.
Specifying a Rheonik meter
Give the fluid, flow range, line pressure and temperature, process connection and hazardous area class. Remember that sensor and transmitter approvals must match. Send these details with a request for quotation and we will confirm the full order code before ordering.
