ICS3 25-10: a pilot-operated servo valve body with three function-module positions
Danfoss 027H2081 is an ICS3 25-10 pilot-operated servo valve from the ICV Flexline platform. The steel body has 25 mm (1 in) butt-weld connections to ASME B 36.10M Schedule 80, a straightway flow path and a Kv value of 3.5 m3/h in the 25-10 configuration. The top cover accepts three function modules, which turn the valve into a pressure, temperature or solenoid-controlled regulator depending on the pilots you fit.
The printed ratings are a maximum working pressure of 65 bar (943 psig) and a temperature range of -60 to 120 C. The valve has a manual-open spindle, an external pilot-pressure connection (weld nipple, port P2), an internal gauge connection with blind plug and a zinc (TLP) surface coating. How an ICS servo valve behaves
The page defines the opening configuration by pressure difference: the valve is closed at 0 bar differential, partially open (proportional) between 0.07 and 0.2 bar, and fully open at 0.2 bar or more. This is the classical servo action, in which a small pilot valve moves the main piston by using the line pressure, so the body can be larger than the pilot could drive directly.
Pilot connection is either parallel (P) or serial (SI-SII), as listed. With a pilot such as a constant pressure pilot, a solenoid pilot or a temperature pilot, the ICS is used as a suction-pressure regulator, a condensing-pressure regulator, a hot-gas valve or a liquid-line shut-off on ammonia and HFC plants.
Selecting pilots and ordering
Order the function modules (pilots) separately: the body alone does not regulate. The ICM, ICS and ICLX accessories and spare parts are listed on the page as a shared platform, so one set of pilots, seals and tools covers all three.
Confirm the 25-10 size code, the pilot configuration, the electrical supply of any solenoid pilot, and the pressure class of your system before ordering. Weld the body per the installation guide, with the internals out, and flush the line.

Choosing Danfoss products
For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
