Telwin Inverpulse 60.40 Wave Pulse MIG Multi-Process Welder

Description

Industrial pulse MIG system with separate four-roll feeder

The Telwin Inverpulse 60.40 Wave (code 816178) is a three-phase multi-process inverter for continuous and pulsed MIG/MAG welding, flux-cored wire, MIG brazing, MMA and TIG DC with Lift ignition. It is delivered as a complete set with a separate professional 4-roll wire feeder, MIG/MAG torch, earth cable and connection cables, and is built for continuous industrial use with high duty cycles.

Telwin’s Wave OS runs on a TFT graphic display. EASY mode uses synergic adjustment from 130 pre-set curves; EXPERT mode opens up to 18 advanced parameters, including start and end current, arc corrections, up- and downslope and pre- and post-gas. Programs can be stored, traced and exported through USB. Pulse and double pulse (PULSE and POP) are available on steel, stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised sheet, along with three special arcs: ROOT-MIG for root passes, ATC and DEEP MIG.

Wire feeder and site features

The 4-roll feeder takes spools up to 300 mm, has internal lighting and IP protection, works with air- or liquid-cooled torches and lets the welder adjust all welding parameters remotely from the feeder. The interconnection harness is interchangeable, so different lengths can be fitted. For MMA, hot start, arc force, anti-stick and a VRD device are included. Protections cover temperature, overvoltage (+15%), undervoltage (-25%), overcurrent and motor-generator operation.

Telwin also lists water-cooled versions (Inverpulse 60.40 Wave Aqua, 816979) and a 300 A model, the Inverpulse 60.30 Wave (816175).

Selecting a pulse MIG set for production

Pulse MIG is mainly chosen for stainless steel and aluminium, where it gives spray-like transfer at lower average current, less spatter and better control on thin and positional welds. With 300 A continuous output and wire up to 2.4 mm, this set also covers heavy carbon-steel fabrication with solid and flux-cored wire. If a fixed-voltage industrial MIG set without pulse is enough, the Telwin Supermig 500i XD is an alternative. For long welds above 300 A, plan for a water-cooled torch.

With a separate feeder, the power source can stay on the trolley while the feeder is carried onto a structure or into a vessel. Check that the interconnection cable, torch and earth return are rated for the planned current, and use feed rolls that match the wire type: V-groove for solid steel, knurled for flux-cored and U-groove for aluminium.

Documents and quotation

The attached Telwin instruction manual covers the Inverpulse Wave machines in several languages. For a quotation, give the torch length, interconnection length, cooling type, wire types and site voltage. More multi-process welding machines are listed in the catalogue.

About brand

Telwin is an Italian manufacturer of welding equipment, plasma cutting systems and battery chargers and starters, operating since 1963. The family-run company has its headquarters and industrial centre in Villaverla, in the province of Vicenza. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat and lists the Telwin Supermig 500i XD multi-process inverter.

Telwin divisions and products

The manual welding division covers MIG-MAG, TIG and MMA inverters, including the Supermig i and Technomig ranges, together with torches, wire feeders, cooling units and protective equipment. Further divisions handle plasma cutting, battery charging and starting, charging systems for electric vehicles and car body repair systems.

Ordering Telwin equipment: what we need

Telwin identifies each product by a six-digit code, such as 816201, so send the code with the model name. For a welding set, state whether you need the power source alone or a pack with wire feeder, trolley or water cooling, and give the mains voltage at site.
