Brand:

Hochiki ACD-EN Intelligent Multi Sensor

Description

A loop-powered multi-sensor that combines smoke, heat and carbon monoxide sensing

The Hochiki ACD-EN is an addressable, loop-powered multi-sensor with optical smoke, heat and carbon monoxide sensing elements in a low-profile head. Hochiki describes it as matching the other sensors in its ESP range, and it offers 24 different modes of operation, each EN approved, so the response can be tuned to the risk in a room: for example a sleeping area, a kitchen-adjacent corridor or a plant room.

The CO element can contribute to smoke detection and can also act as a CO alarm for life-threatening levels, which the datasheet notes needs control panel compatibility. A CO alarm (COHb) facility, a 10 year CO sensor life (dependent on operational usage) and a programmable fire threshold are listed among the features, and the two-colour LED shows green when polled and red in fire.

Where a multi-sensor helps and what it needs from the panel

Because one head covers smoke, heat and CO, a single device type can often replace separate detectors, and the mode selection reduces unwanted alarms in areas where smoke alone would be ambiguous. The datasheet notes two limits: panel compatibility is required for the CO alarm function and for controlling the remote indicator and LED separately, and the sensor does not support sleep mode.

The ACD-EN is an ESP-protocol device, so it belongs on a loop from a panel that supports Hochiki ESP. Your project documents should confirm the protocol of the panel before detectors are chosen.

What to confirm before ordering

State the colour (ivory or white), the base type, and the panel make and protocol. Check the project approval requirement, because the datasheet lists EN 54 parts and CEA 4021 but no other national approval. Hochiki states that specifications may change without notice, so use the current datasheet revision (ISS6, September 2026 on the file supplied).

Documents and quotation

The manufacturer datasheet for the ACD-EN is attached to this page as a PDF (document type: datasheet) so the figures above can be checked against the source. For a quotation, send the full model or ordering code, quantity, any options such as modules or accessories, and the delivery location through the RFQ form. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat; availability and lead time are confirmed per request. More Hochiki equipment is listed under this category, and the Hochiki brand page shows the rest of the range on this site.

About brand

Hochiki is a Japanese life safety manufacturer, founded in 1918 and headquartered in Tokyo, whose fire detection equipment is sold worldwide. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Hochiki detectors such as the ACD-EN multi-sensor and the FIREbeam beam smoke detectors, each with the manufacturer datasheet.

Hochiki detection families

The manufacturer divides its fire detection into ESP intelligent (addressable) and CDX conventional ranges. Spot detectors and the ACD multi-sensor sit alongside FIREbeam reflective beam detectors, which protect large open spaces over 7 to 70 m and up to 160 m with extension kits. The ESP and CDX versions of a detector use different protocols, so the panel must match; beam head, reflector and range kits are chosen by the measured distance between them.

Ordering Hochiki equipment

Send the exact model, the colour or base where relevant, and the make and protocol of the fire panel. Project approvals such as EN 54 parts should be checked against the datasheet for the model, and the current revision of each document confirmed before ordering.
