DINSE MRZ 304.PLUS Fume Extraction MIG/MAG Torch
Description
Capturing welding fume at the source
The DINSE MRZ 304.PLUS is a liquid-cooled MIG/MAG torch with integrated fume extraction, part of the DINSE PlusLine family launched in 2026. It is rated to DIN EN 60974-7 at 500 A with CO2 and 450 A with mixed gas at 60% duty cycle, for wire from 0.8 to 1.6 mm. DINSE reports a fume capture efficiency of 98%, tested to DIN EN ISO 21904-3 and -4.
The extraction channels are built into the handle shell, which DINSE says is only 2 mm thicker than a PlusLine torch without extraction, so the weight and feel stay close to a standard torch. The gas-cooled sister model is the MR 230.PLUS, rated 300 A CO2.

Extraction at low negative pressure
DINSE designed the PlusLine extraction path so the required airflow is reached at low negative pressure. That allows a lighter torch and lower extraction power without losing capture performance, and it also reduces noise at the handle. An optional bypass lets in controlled extra air to regulate suction at the weld, so the shielding gas is not disturbed. An optional flow-optimised gas nozzle increases extraction airflow while still fitting other PlusLine torches of the same series.
The connector and Y-piece are separated, which saves space and adds flexibility, and a flexible leather-covered hose protects the package. DINSE offers adapters for connecting to different extraction units.
Planning an installation
An on-torch system still needs a suitable high-vacuum extraction unit and filter; size these with the extraction unit maker. Coolant supply follows the same rules as any liquid-cooled torch. The non-extraction equivalent is the MZ 304.PLUS, which shares the 304-series wear parts, so mixed fleets can share nozzles and tips.
Fume extraction torches are increasingly specified because capturing fume at the arc reduces the welder’s exposure more effectively than a hood that has to be repositioned. They work best when the extraction hose, Y-piece and connector are routed so they do not pull on the welder’s wrist, which is why DINSE separated the Y-piece from the connector on this model.
Seal checks on the extraction hose and connector are part of routine maintenance, since a leak at the Y-piece reduces the airflow reaching the nozzle and lowers capture efficiency.

About brand
DINSE, headquartered in Norderstedt near Hamburg, Germany, develops and manufactures welding torches and systems for manual, robotic and automated welding. The company is widely known for the DINSE coupling, the cable connector found on many welding machines, and for its DIX range of torches, wear parts and wire feeding systems. DINSE works to a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list the DIX MZ 304.PLUS liquid-cooled MIG/MAG torch and source DINSE torches, connectors and wear parts on request.
DINSE product groups
The manual welding range covers gas-cooled and liquid-cooled MIG/MAG torches, including the PlusLine handles for the 304 and 330 series, push-pull torches and fume extraction torches. For automated welding the manufacturer offers robot torches, TIG automation and laser wire feeding. Further groups are plugs and sockets, wire feeding systems such as drum feeders, and spare and wear parts.
Ordering DINSE torches and wear parts: what we need
State the full torch designation, the cable assembly length, the cooling type and the machine-side connection on your wire feeder, either DINSE or Euro connector. Add the wire diameter and material, since liner and contact tip depend on them. For wear parts, send the DIX part name or part number, or a photo of the old part with the torch type.
