Brand:

DINSE MQZ 330.neo Liquid-Cooled MIG/MAG Torch

Description

A ball-joint torch set with double-circuit liquid cooling

The DINSE MQZ 330.neo is a liquid-cooled manual MIG/MAG torch set from the DINSE .neo series. It is rated to DIN EN 60974-7 at 400 A with CO2 and 320 A with mixed gas at 60% duty cycle, for wire diameters of 1.0 to 1.2 mm. A ball joint with kink protection at the handle and a highly flexible cover hose reduce the effort needed to guide the torch, and a separate shielding gas hose prevents gas losses.

DINSE lists it for non-alloyed and low-alloyed steels, high-alloy steels, copper alloys for MIG brazing and aluminium, magnesium and nickel alloys.

How the cooling works

In the DINSE double-circuit system the coolant flows through concentric ducts along the full length of the neck, cooling the contact tip and gas nozzle together. This keeps the front end at a lower temperature during long welds, which DINSE links to longer consumable life. The torch must be connected to a running cooler; N versions also need a Power Pin or Power Pin set matched to the wire feeder.

Wear parts and liners

Gas nozzles of 13, 15 and 18 mm with trapezoidal thread, narrow-gap nozzles, M6 and M8 contact tips in standard or CuCrZr, and tip adapters are listed. Liners DIX DS 4/2.2 are offered in 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 m. For 500 A work, DINSE offers the MQZ 304.neo, and the PlusLine MZ 304.PLUS is an alternative handle style.

The ball joint is the main reason welders choose the .neo series. It removes much of the twisting force from the wrist when the torch is turned, and the decoupled cover hose has very low rotational resistance. This matters most in constrained positions such as overhead work, inside sections, or when welding for long periods. Handles are made from heat- and break-resistant material with good insulation.

Euro-connector SAZ versions fit most modern wire feeders, while DINSE-connector versions suit feeders with DINSE central sockets. State which one is required when ordering.

Liquid-cooled sets also run cooler in the hand, which welders notice on long seams at high current.

Check that the cooler capacity and coolant type suit a 400 A torch, and route the hose package so it is not crushed by plate or trolleys on the shop floor.

About brand

DINSE, headquartered in Norderstedt near Hamburg, Germany, develops and manufactures welding torches and systems for manual, robotic and automated welding. The company is widely known for the DINSE coupling, the cable connector found on many welding machines, and for its DIX range of torches, wear parts and wire feeding systems. DINSE works to a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list the DIX MZ 304.PLUS liquid-cooled MIG/MAG torch and source DINSE torches, connectors and wear parts on request.

DINSE product groups

The manual welding range covers gas-cooled and liquid-cooled MIG/MAG torches, including the PlusLine handles for the 304 and 330 series, push-pull torches and fume extraction torches. For automated welding the manufacturer offers robot torches, TIG automation and laser wire feeding. Further groups are plugs and sockets, wire feeding systems such as drum feeders, and spare and wear parts.

Ordering DINSE torches and wear parts: what we need

State the full torch designation, the cable assembly length, the cooling type and the machine-side connection on your wire feeder, either DINSE or Euro connector. Add the wire diameter and material, since liner and contact tip depend on them. For wear parts, send the DIX part name or part number, or a photo of the old part with the torch type.
