A water-cooled TIG torch whose head rotates through 360 degrees
The CK Worldwide FL230 is a Flex-Loc water-cooled TIG torch rated at 230 A, ACHF or DCSP, at 100% duty cycle. Its defining feature is the Flex-Loc joint: the head locks onto the body and can be turned through a full 360 degrees, so the welder can set the electrode angle for any position and any grip without twisting the cable. The modular design also lets the head be exchanged in seconds.
This makes the FL230 a practical choice for out-of-position work on frames, tanks and pipework, where a fixed rigid head forces awkward wrist angles and a flex neck alone cannot reach the required orientation.

Packages, cables and machine connections
The FL2312 and FL2325 packages are supplied with Tri-Flex cables, which bundle power, water and argon in one cover; the SF versions use three separate Super-Flex hoses (3-piece sets 212SF and 225SF). Individual cables can be ordered as spares by the part numbers in the table. According to the manual, the machine ends of the power cable and water hose are 7/8 in-14 LH and 5/8 in-18 LH, and the argon hose end is 5/8 in-18 RH. For power sources with a DINSE socket, CK offers SLWHAT-25 and SLWHAT-35 adapters (3/8 in and 1/2 in), gas-through versions SLWHAT-25M and SLWHAT-35M, and Tweco or Cam-Lock options SLWHAT-T and SLWHAT-CL.
Flex-Loc versus fixed-head water-cooled torches
Because the FL230 uses 2 Series consumables, it shares cups, collets and collet bodies with the CK20 and CK230. A Flex-Loc torch is chosen for positional freedom; where a rigid head and higher current matter more, the 300 A CK230 or the 250 A CK20 water-cooled TIG torch are the related options. As with any water-cooled torch, a working recirculating cooler must be connected before the arc is struck.
The same FL2L head is used on the gas-cooled FL130, so a workshop running both torches can stock one set of heads and 2 Series consumables. When replacing a head, check the 300R O-ring on the 01-0009 screw, since a damaged seal is a common source of gas and coolant leaks.
