Description
Supervised-open FireLock butterfly valve with weatherproof actuator
The Victaulic FireLock Series 705 is a grooved-end butterfly valve designed for fire protection services only. It has a weatherproof handwheel actuator housing for indoor and outdoor use and is designed to be supervised open, which suits fire protection systems where the position of the control valve must be monitored. Butterfly control valves of this type are used on sprinkler risers, fire pump lines and system branches. The grooved ends connect with Victaulic couplings, which removes the need for flanges on many fire mains.
The body and disc are ductile iron with an electroless nickel coated disc and an EPDM seat. Sizes run from 2 to 12 in. (DN50 to DN300), and the valve is rated up to 300 psi (21 bar).

Selection and installation notes
The listing table shows which sizes carry each approval at 300 psi; VdS is not listed for some sizes (for example 2-1/2, 5, 10 and 12 in.), so check the leaflet against the project specification before ordering. An optional 1/2 in. tap is available on all sizes. Keep the valve supervised open and follow the installation instructions with the system depressurized and drained. Victaulic Style 107N QuickVic couplings
The Style 107N is a rigid coupling for roll-grooved or cut-grooved carbon steel and stainless steel pipe in sizes from 2 to 12 inches (DN 50 to DN 300). Victaulic rates it from full vacuum up to 750 psi (5171 kPa), but the working pressure of a given joint depends on pipe material, wall thickness and size. The housing has an angled bolt pad that makes the joint rigid, and a galvanized finish is optional.
