Diaphragm deluge valve for open-sprinkler and foam fire systems

The Weflo Fig. 9266 is a UL listed deluge valve that holds water back from an open-head sprinkler or spray system until a detection or manual release trips it. It is a diaphragm-type main valve with a straight-through ductile iron body, so friction losses stay low at high flow, and there are no metallic wetted moving parts to wear or stick during long standby periods. It is used on high-hazard areas such as fuel storage, process units, transformer protection, aircraft hangars, offshore and naval installations and other flammable or explosion-classified zones where the whole system must discharge at once.

Release can be automatic or local manual, from an electrical signal trigger system with manual reset, and the valve may be installed vertically or horizontally. It can also be used on dry-pipe automatic sprinkler systems.

Choose the end connection to suit the pipework (flanged or grooved), and confirm the release arrangement (electric solenoid, pneumatic, hydraulic or manual) and the required trim before ordering. Working pressure starts at 20 psi, so low-pressure supplies should be checked against that minimum. Weflo valve families

The manufacturer program covers OS&Y and NRS gate valves, fire hydrants, check and alarm check valves, butterfly valves, deluge, pre-action, pressure relief and pressure reducing valves, Y and basket strainers, and air relief valves.
