Description
Pressure sensor with display, IO-Link and dual outputs for plant skids
The Turck PS510-16V-01-LI2UPN8-H1141 is a relative pressure sensor for liquids and gases with a measuring range of minus 1 to 16 bar. Turck builds the PS510 series around a fully welded metal measuring cell, and the processed signal is delivered as a switching output, an analog output or over IO-Link, with a stated accuracy of 0.25 percent of full scale.
A four-digit, two-colour display can be rotated by 180 degrees, and the housing can be rotated after the process connection has been tightened. That makes the sensor easy to read and wire on compact skids, pump packages and utility lines where access is restricted.

The data sheet gives its reference conditions according to IEC 61298-1 as 24 VDC auxiliary power, atmospheric pressure of 689 to 1300 hPa absolute and relative humidity of 10 to 95 percent, so the accuracy figures apply at those conditions. Shock resistance is 50 g for 11 ms to EN 60068-2-27, and the EMC tests follow EN 61326-2-3, which is useful when the sensor is mounted close to variable speed drives.
Programming and output behaviour
The sensor can be set up through the keys and display or through IO-Link using FDT/DTM. Programmable items include the start and end value of the analog output, switch and release points, PNP or NPN logic, normally open or closed contact, hysteresis or window function, damping, pressure unit and a peak pressure memory.
The switching output carries up to 0.25 A and Turck lists at least 100 million switching cycles. The analog output gives 4 to 20 mA with a load of up to 0.5 kilohm, or 0 to 10 V into 8 kilohm or more.
Selecting and installing the sensor
Choose a range so that normal operating pressure sits well inside the span and so pressure peaks stay below the overpressure rating of 100 bar. Where pulsation or water hammer is likely, add a damper or snubber upstream rather than relying on the sensor damping setting alone.
The sensor is general industrial equipment with CE and cULus listings, not a hazardous-area device. Where the instrument must be installed in a classified zone, confirm the zone requirement first and select an Ex-certified instrument instead. Observe the maximum tightening torque of 35 Nm for the housing nut and the 24 mm wrench size for the process connection.

In BI5-M18-AP6X-H1141, BI is a flush-mountable inductive sensor, 5 is the rated switching distance in millimeters and M18 is the threaded barrel. AP6X is a three-wire DC output, PNP normally open, and H1141 is the M12 connector. The CMVT-QR20 is a small rectangular sensor that measures vibration together with temperature and reports both over IO-Link for condition monitoring.
