Axis P3285-LVE 2 MP AI Dome Camera with Audio Analytics

Description

A 2 MP outdoor dome with wide or tele lens and audio analytics

The Axis P3285-LVE is a vandal-resistant outdoor dome camera with a 1/2.8 inch sensor, 2 MP resolution and the ARTPEC-9 chip with a deep learning processing unit. It is offered in two lens variants: a 10 mm model (3.4 to 9.8 mm, horizontal field of view 100 to 32 degrees) for wide areas, and a 29 mm model (10.8 to 28.2 mm, 29.1 to 11 degrees) for longer distances. Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR up to 120 dB and OptimizedIR handle low light and high contrast.

AXIS Object Analytics can detect, classify, track and count humans and vehicles, and AXIS Audio Analytics is preinstalled so the camera can raise an event when it hears something relevant, even if nothing is visible. The datasheet lists sound pressure level, adaptive audio detection and audio classification, including scream, shout and speech. AXIS Live Privacy Shield can mask people in a stream while an unmasked stream is kept for permitted viewers.

Choosing the 10 mm or 29 mm variant

Use the 10 mm variant for entrances, loading bays, building facades and yards where the view should be wide. Choose the 29 mm variant for longer approaches such as gate lanes, fence sections or roads, where a narrow view of 29 degrees or less helps with detail. The 29 mm lens has a minimum focus distance of 3 m, against 1 m for the wide lens, and its IR reach is 45 m or more against 40 m or more. Check the scene with the manufacturer lens calculator before fixing the order.

The dome is powered by PoE class 3 with a maximum of 10 W, so it suits ordinary PoE switches. Its operating temperature is -40 to 50 degC, which is narrower than that of the heavy-duty PTZ units, so for very hot installations check the exposure of the mounting position.

Where a fixed bullet shape is preferred, compare the Axis P1465-LE. In your enquiry state the lens variant, mounting accessories, storage and the video management system in use.
