Brand:

Axis C1310-E Mk II Network Horn Speaker for Outdoor Voice Announcements

Description

An outdoor horn speaker that talks and listens over the network

The Axis C1310-E Mk II is an all-in-one network horn speaker for outdoor use: a re-entrant horn with a compression driver, a built-in 7 W Class D amplifier and pre-configured digital signal processing. The datasheet gives a maximum sound pressure level of more than 121 dB, a frequency response of 280 Hz to 12.5 kHz and a coverage pattern of 70 degrees horizontal by 100 degrees vertical at 2 kHz. It is powered by PoE and connects to a standard network.

A built-in microphone, which can be disabled mechanically, allows two-way communication with optional half-duplex echo cancellation and supports remote health testing: the Auto Speaker Test plays a tone and checks it through the microphone. Axis lists use cases such as deterring unwanted activity, delivering instructions in an emergency and making general voice announcements, either live, scheduled or triggered by an event from video analytics, access control or a SIP call.

Placing horns and choosing the audio management level

Horn speakers are normally installed to cover an area from poles, walls or gantries, so plan spacing from the coverage pattern and the loudness required at the listener, remembering that sound level falls with distance and noise at the site. The datasheet gives the coverage as 70 by 100 degrees, which is narrower in the horizontal plane, so aim the horn at the target area. The accessories list covers pole mounts, corner brackets and a conduit back box.

This model is not an explosion-protected device. In classified areas the Axis XC1311 is the corresponding certified horn speaker. A single C1310-E Mk II can run standalone with the built-in AXIS Audio Manager Edge, which supports 200 speakers in 20 zones; larger or multi-site systems use Audio Manager Pro or Center, which are sold separately.

When a camera such as the Axis P1465-LE detects an event, the speaker can play a stored message through event rules or pairing, so site security and announcements can be tied together. In your request state the number of speakers, the mounting accessories, the SIP or mass-notification platform and the PoE switch capacity.
