Axis Q1656-LE 4 MP Outdoor Box Camera with IR
Description
A 4 MP outdoor box camera with its own lighting, wiper and heater
The Axis Q1656-LE is a box-style outdoor camera that records 4 MP video at up to 60 fps. It is built for sites that need reliable images in all weather and light: the casing has a wiper, a heater and a dehumidifying membrane, and the camera carries both 850 nm IR and a white LED for illumination, so it can deliver colour or monochrome images at night. The 1/1.8 inch sensor, Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR give detail in low light and in scenes with strong contrast.
It runs AXIS Object Analytics, Scene Metadata and Image Health Analytics on the ARTPEC-8 chip. The housing is aluminium rated IP66, IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10 with an IK08 front window, and Axis lists a sustained wind load of 60 m/s.

Choosing lens, power and mounting
The standard lens gives a wide view for gates and yards. If the application needs more reach or lower light performance, Axis lists three optional lenses, and the ordering enquiry should state which one is wanted because the lens changes the minimum illumination figures. Power can be PoE Class 4 or 10 to 28 V DC, and the datasheet includes a power redundancy entry, so state in the enquiry if dual power feeds are required.
The wall mount is included, and the datasheet lists a wireless installation tool and Surveillance Cards as optional accessories. The integrated installation aids include remote zoom and focus, remote back focus, a levelling assistant and a pixel counter.
Documents and quotation
The attached datasheet from Axis gives the full analytics, cybersecurity, approval and connector information. For a quotation send the lens option, power source, mounting and the video management software. See other cameras in CCTV and security.
