ABB CP-S.1 24/20.0 Power Supply 24 V DC 20 A 480 W
Description
CP-S.1 24/20.0: 480 W high-efficiency power supply for demanding panels
CP-S.1 24/20.0 doubles the CP-S.1 24/10.0 to 20 A and 480 W. It combines efficiency above 93 percent, active power factor correction, an integrated 150 percent power reserve for five seconds and an input range of 85 to 264 V AC or 90 to 277 V DC.
The housing is a zinc-coated sheet-steel cover with coated PCBAs, and the data sheet lists approvals including marine. A relay output 13-14 provides output OK signalling.
For a quotation, send the full order code 1SVR320761R1000 together with the panel layout notes and the upstream protection you plan to use. Seven Star LLC supplies the unit as an independent supplier in Muscat, and the delivery details are confirmed in the quotation, not on this page.

High-current behaviour of the 20 A model
At 230 V the input current is only 2.55 A, and cold-start inrush is limited to 12.8 A, so smaller upstream breakers can be used. The power reserve means the output can supply 30 A for five seconds, which assists with starting capacitive loads or clearing a fault on a branch.
Rated 20 A is available up to 60 C; derating of 2.5 percent per kelvin applies to 70 C. Hold-up exceeds 20 ms at 230 V.
Redundancy, parallel use and protection
Up to three CP-S.1 units can be connected in parallel for more power or for redundancy, provided that the output voltage difference is below 50 mV. ABB lists the CP-C.1-A-RU for true redundancy. Two units may also be connected in series to raise the output voltage, as the data sheet permits.
As with the 10 A model, ABB recommends an S200 miniature circuit breaker as supply protection, and requires a protective earth connection.
Documents and quotation
The linked file is ABB CP-S.1 24/20.0 power supply data sheet 1SAC200140H0001. Seven Star LLC supplies the CP-S.1 24/20.0 on request from Muscat; availability and lead time are given in the quotation. More electrical and power products are in the Power Modules category, and the ABB CR-M024DC4L interface relay is a typical 24 V DC load.
Confirm before ordering: mains input range at site, the total 24 V DC load including inrush, ambient temperature in the cabinet and whether a redundancy unit is wanted.

About brand
ABB is the Swiss-Swedish engineering group for electrification and automation: low voltage drives, motors, circuit breakers and motor control, process instruments and analysers, control systems and robots. It was formed on 5 January 1988 by the merger of two older companies. ASEA was founded in Västerås, Sweden, in 1883 by Ludvig Fredholm to make electric lighting and generators. BBC Brown Boveri was founded in Baden near Zurich in 1891 by Charles E. L. Brown and Walter Boveri. ABB Ltd is incorporated in Switzerland, headquartered in Zurich and listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and Nasdaq Stockholm.

Choosing an ABB drive
ABB's ACS drive codes are easy to read once you know the pattern. In ACS580-01-046A-4, "ACS580" is the drive family, "01" means a wall-mounted single drive, "046A" is the rated output current (about 46 A) and "-4" means a 380–480 V supply. The family is chosen by application: ACS355 for compact machinery, ACS310 for simple pumps and fans, ACS580 as the general-purpose drive, ACQ580 for water and wastewater with pump functions such as pipe fill and dry-run protection, and ACS880 for heavy industrial duty with direct torque control. Size the drive on the motor's full-load current, not only its kW rating, and allow derating for the high ambient temperatures common in Gulf electrical rooms.
Where ABB products are used
In Oman and the GCC, ABB drives and motors run pumps, fans and compressors in water and wastewater plants, district cooling, oil and gas and industry. ABB flowmeters, level instruments and analysers are used in water utilities, power and desalination plants and refineries, and SACE breakers protect switchboards in buildings and plants.

Ordering ABB products: what we need
Send the full type code from the nameplate (for example ACS580-01-046A-4 or 266DSH...) and, for spare parts, the ABB ID number (such as 3BSE008508R1 or 1SBL176001R3010). For drives, add the motor power and current and any option codes (+...). For instruments, send the complete order code, which sets range, materials and approvals. Baldor motors are listed on their own brand page.
Facts checked against ABB company filings and published histories of ASEA and Brown, Boveri & Cie, October 2026.
