The listed power supplies are DIN rail switch-mode units with 24 V DC output: a PRO MAX single-phase unit rated 180 W and 7.5 A (85 to 277 V AC input), and a PRO MAX3 three-phase unit rated 240 W and 10 A (320 to 575 V AC input). The SAK series is the screw clamp feed-through terminal block family found in many existing panels. Weidmüller now flags several SAK types as being phased out and names a replacement for some of them.

01How do I find the right Weidmüller part number?
Look for the ten-digit order number on the product label, the packaging or the panel bill of materials. The short type name alone, such as PRO MAX or SAK, covers many variants. If only the type is legible, send a photo and the main ratings, and we will match it to the manufacturer's catalog before quoting.
02What is the difference between the Weidmüller PRO MAX and PRO MAX3 power supplies?
In the product names, PRO MAX units take a single-phase AC input and PRO MAX3 units take a three-phase input. The two listed here both give 24 V DC: 7.5 A (180 W) from the single-phase unit and 10 A (240 W) from the three-phase one. Check the supply available in the cabinet and the total load before choosing.
03Can SAK terminal blocks be mixed with newer Weidmüller terminal series on one rail?
They mount on the same rail, but end plates, partitions, cross-connections and markers are made for one series and often for one terminal size. When extending an existing SAK strip, order the accessories listed for that SAK size. Send the order numbers of the installed blocks and we will check which accessories the manufacturer assigns to them.
04Which approvals apply to Weidmüller power supplies and terminals?
Approvals are listed per order number on the manufacturer's datasheet, and they differ between items. If your panel needs a particular mark, for example a UL listing or a hazardous-area rating for the terminals, state it in the inquiry. We will confirm it on the datasheet for the exact order number and send that document with the offer.
