GBC SUPERBOILER T5 Portable Pipe Beveling Machine

Description

ID-mounted bevelling tool for 49-207 mm pipe bores

The GBC SUPERBOILER T5 is a portable, inside-diameter-clamping pipe bevelling machine made by G.B.C. Industrial Tools in Italy. It locks into the pipe bore from 49 to 207 mm (1.92 to 8.14 in) and machines weld bevels with tool bits held in a four-slot chuck. GBC describes it as the machine for users who need to cover a wide range of pipe diameters in heavy working conditions, with enough power to produce accurate bevels on heavy wall thicknesses in carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, Inconel and other alloys.

The drive unit is interchangeable: the T5 is offered with a pneumatic motor or an electric motor, and GBC also lists a hydraulic drive option. The machine body is compact and sturdy.

Options for repetitive work and fittings

For production work with many identical preparations, the pneumatic version can be equipped with an optional automatic pneumatic locking device, so that the machine is locked and released with a single lever instead of turning the clamping handle each time. Optional elbow locking shafts allow the machine to clamp inside elbows and tees from 46 to 207 mm ID, which is useful when fittings must be bevelled before fit-up.

Choosing the drive and tooling

As a general guide, the pneumatic version gives the highest torque and speed and suits shops and sites with a reliable compressed air supply of at least 1300 Nl/min; the electric version is used where no compressor is available. Bevel angle and land are set by the tool bit profile, so the required angles (for example 37.5° V-bevels or compound and J-preparations) should be specified with the order, together with the pipe material and wall thickness. For larger pipe that requires OD clamping, see the GBC SUPERMAXI 4_16.

Documents and quotation

The attached GBC SUPERBOILER T5 data sheet (Italian and English) contains the technical features, dimensions and reduced shaft codes listed above. For a quotation, state the drive type, pipe ID range, materials, wall thickness and required bevel geometry. Further machines are listed under pipe cutting and bevelling machines.

About brand

G.B.C. Industrial Tools is an Italian manufacturer of machines for cutting and beveling metal pipes and plates, founded in 1981 by Bruno Giottoli. Since 2016 its operations have been centralised in a facility in Cazzago San Martino, near Brescia, where the machines are designed and built. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists GBC portable pipe beveling and pipe cutting machines, including the SUPERMAXI 4_16, and sources GBC equipment for piping and fabrication work.

GBC product groups

The range includes portable pipe bevelers, pipe cutters, plate bevelers, flange facing machines, back-gouging grinders, stationary machines and special machines, together with pipe stands and pipe clamps. GBC names oil and gas, offshore, petrochemical and refining plants, pipelines, heat exchangers, shipbuilding and wind towers among the sectors it serves. Many models are offered with pneumatic, electric or hydraulic drive.

Ordering GBC machines: what we need

Give the model and drive, the pipe inside and outside diameters, the wall thickness and material, and the bevel geometry. Mention whether an extension kit, a hydraulic power pack or spare tools are needed, and send the GBC tool code for replacement tools.
