Pepperl+Fuchs KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 Fieldbus Power Supply
Description
KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 single-segment fieldbus power supply on DIN rail
The KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 is a self-contained fieldbus power supply for one FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 segment. Housed in a 20 mm DIN rail case, it adapts a 24 V bulk supply or a Power Rail to a 25 to 28 V, 360 mA trunk output and includes the required impedance filter and a fixed terminator.
Compared with the HD2-FBPS-1.25.360, which plugs into a Power Hub motherboard, the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 stands alone and needs no hub, which suits small systems or single segments added to an existing cabinet.
Seven Star LLC supplies this module in Oman and the GCC as an independent supplier in Muscat.

How the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 is built for density
The module uses a passive impedance filter and a design optimised for low heat dissipation, so no spacing is needed between modules in any direction, which saves cabinet space. Galvanic isolation between supply and segment improves communication reliability.
Test plug sockets on the plug-in terminal allow a mobile Advanced Diagnostic Module to be connected directly, and the unit combines with modular segment protectors for explosion protected live work at the spur.
System fit and related parts
Choose the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 for a stand-alone FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 segment with long cable or many devices. For multi-segment installations with redundancy, the Power Hub with HD2-FBPS-1.25.360 modules is more flexible. If PROFIBUS PA with DP gateway is needed in one housing, see KFD2-BR-Ex1.3PA.93.
Selection and ordering checklist for the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360
- Fieldbus type: FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 as stated in the datasheet.
- Segment current under 360 mA.
- Bulk supply or Power Rail.
- Cabinet temperature up to 60 °C.
- Zone 2 / Div. 2 requirements and certificate scope.
- Diagnostics: test sockets for the mobile ADM.
Installation, commissioning and maintenance of the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360
Clip on the rail, connect supply and trunk, and measure the segment voltage and communication with a fieldbus tester. Because no spacing is required, check that the cabinet heat load is still acceptable.
Keep the plug-in terminal block for fast replacement of the module without rewiring the trunk.
During a plant shutdown, measure the segment voltage and the supply current of each module and keep the values as a reference. A rising supply current at constant load often points to leakage in a field junction box, which is cheaper to repair in a planned outage than during operation.
Segment design with the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360
Fieldbus design starts with the device list and cable data. The 360 mA output of the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 covers a large number of non-intrinsically safe field devices, and spur protection or couplers add protection for live work at the device.
Always verify the final segment with a fieldbus diagnostic tool, since cable capacitance, terminators and grounding determine signal quality.
Typical applications in Oman and the GCC
The KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 is used in Oman and the GCC for FOUNDATION Fieldbus systems at refineries, gas processing and power stations, particularly where cabinet space is limited and an economical single-segment solution is wanted. Hot cabinets are common in the region, and the 60 °C limit applies to the ambient air around the module, so check the temperature inside the enclosure on the hottest day of the year. Corrosion class G3 in the datasheet is relevant in coastal plants with salt and hydrogen sulphide in the air, but conformal protection of the cabinet and clean air supply remain good practice.
Keep a spare unit on site and label the plug-in terminal block, since the terminal can be moved to the replacement module and the trunk does not need to be rewired.

Site conditions in Oman for the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360
Electrical rooms and outdoor panels in the Gulf often operate well above the 25 °C reference temperature used in many catalogues. Before you finalise the KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360, compare the expected panel temperature with the operating range and any output derating stated in the manufacturer documentation, and leave the recommended clearance above and below the device for convection. Supply quality also varies between sites, so confirm the input voltage range, frequency and any requirements for protection on the supply side.
Where the device feeds or monitors critical loads, plan how faults will be signalled to the control system and how a replacement can be installed quickly. Keeping one spare KLD2-FBPS-1.25.360 per site and recording its settings helps maintenance teams in Oman restore service with minimum downtime.

About brand
Pepperl+Fuchs is a German manufacturer of industrial sensors and explosion protection equipment, founded in 1945 in Mannheim by Walter Pepperl and Ludwig Fuchs as a radio repair shop. Defective transformers led them into manufacturing, and the company developed its first proximity switch in the late 1950s. Pepperl+Fuchs is headquartered in Mannheim and is a pioneer of intrinsically safe electrical equipment for hazardous areas.
Seven Star LLC lists Pepperl+Fuchs sensors, isolated barriers, power supplies and hazardous-area mobile devices, and supplies them to instrument and automation teams in Oman by exact model designation.

Where Pepperl+Fuchs equipment is used
Isolated barriers sit between field instruments in Zone 0 or Zone 1 and the DCS or safety system in refineries, gas plants and chemical works. NAMUR sensors report valve position and machine states in classified areas. Photoelectric sensors and LiDAR scanners work in conveying, packaging, warehousing and vehicle guidance. Ex-rated tablets and phones are carried on operator rounds and maintenance jobs.

Ordering Pepperl+Fuchs parts: what we need
Send the complete model designation as printed on the device, including every suffix; a single letter can change the supply voltage or the output type. Add the part number if the label shows one. For barriers, tell us the field device and signal type, the number of channels and whether the safety loop needs a SIL-assessed module. For mobile devices, state the zone or division and the regional radio version.
