Selec RPS60-24-CU 60 W 24 V 2.5 A DIN-Rail Power Supply
Description
A slim 43 mm, 60 W supply for small 24 V control circuits
The Selec RPS60-24-CU delivers 24 V DC at 2.5 A (60 W) from a DIN-rail housing only 43 mm wide and 285 g in weight. It takes 90 to 264 V AC or 127 to 370 V DC and is meant for compact control panels: a small PLC, a few relays, indicator lamps, and sensors.
Efficiency is up to 87% at 230 V AC for this code. Protection covers short circuit, overload, overvoltage and over temperature, and cooling is by natural convection. Voltage can be trimmed from 24 to 28 V to make up for cable drop, and the hold-up time of 60 ms or more at 230 V AC lets the output ride through short mains dips. The datasheet also lists derating curves for ambient temperature, which is the figure to check when the enclosure is warm.
Datasheet features
- Supports 90 to 264 V AC and 127 to 370 V DC input
- Short circuit, overload, overvoltage and over-temperature protection
- Free-air convection cooling; UL 508 approved (E522848)

RPS60 codes
| Code | Rating |
|---|---|
| RPS60-05-CU | 50 W, 5 V / 10 A |
| RPS60-12-CU | 60 W, 12 V / 5 A |

| RPS60-48-CU | 60 W, 48 V / 1.25 A |
The suffix -CU indicates the UL-listed version; choose RPS60-24-CU for the common 24 V rail.
Mounting and thermal notes
Snap the housing on a 35 mm DIN rail with free airflow around it. The datasheet derating curve is the guide for heat inside closed boxes: above 50 degC the available power decreases linearly.
- Keep input wiring separate from low-voltage output cabling.
- After an overvoltage trip, switch the AC off and on again.
- DC input works within 127 to 370 V DC, but UL approval is stated for the AC range only.
Small panels, big temperature swings
At 60 W this is the practical choice for instrument cabinets, gate and barrier controllers, small PLC enclosures and HVAC control boxes. In Gulf installations, enclosures can run hot, so confirm the load against the derating curve; if the load approaches 60 W at 50 degC or above, step up to the 240 W unit or add ventilation.
Selection and installation notes
A DIN-rail power supply is selected from the load current plus a margin of about twenty to thirty percent for start-up and ageing. Protect the input with the fuse or breaker the maker names, leave the clearances above and below for cooling, keep the output wiring short and check the output voltage under load. Where redundancy matters, use a decoupling module and two supplies rather than one larger unit.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Related items
The datasheet lists no accessories. Fusing and distribution blocks are separate; plan the 24 V branch fusing for the 2.5 A rating, remembering that overload above 110% triggers hiccup mode rather than a hard shutdown, so a downstream fault shows as a repeatedly restarting supply. For larger loads, the RPS240 family on this site provides 12, 24 and 48 V at up to 240 W.
