How do I identify a HIMA module for replacement?
The front plate shows the module type, such as F8650X or F7553. The label on the module adds the part number, hardware revision and serial number. For central modules also note the operating system version shown in the diagnostic display or the engineering tool. Send these details, because revision and firmware determine whether a spare is compatible with your system.
What is the difference between HIMA H41q, H51q and HIQuad X?
H41q is the compact version of the HIQuad system with a limited number of I/O slots in one rack, and H51q is the modular version with separate I/O racks. HIQuad X is the newer generation in the same line, engineered with SILworX in place of ELOP II. The manufacturer publishes migration information for moving H41q and H51q applications to HIQuad X.
Which software do I need for my HIMA system?
H41q and H51q controllers are programmed with ELOP II, and the listing includes ELOP II with its hardlock key. HIMax, HIMatrix and HIQuad X controllers use SILworX. The tool version has to suit the controller operating system. Send the system type, the current software version and the license form you need, and we will verify the correct package.
What certification do HIMA safety controllers carry?
HIMA safety systems are certified by an independent test body for use in safety functions up to SIL 3 according to IEC 61508, and the certificate lists the approved modules and operating system versions.
