Finder 80.01.0.240.0000 Multi-Function Modular Timer

Description

One multi-function timer for most control panel timing tasks

The 80.01.0.240.0000 is a multi-function, multi-voltage modular timer from the Finder 80 series. It is 17.5 mm wide, mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail and switches one 16 A changeover contact. A single unit covers on-delay, interval, symmetrical flasher, off-delay, on- and off-delay and interval with control signal, so one timer replaces several single-function timers in a panel.

The supply range is 12 to 240 V, either AC or DC, which means the same unit works on 24 V DC control circuits, 110 V and 230 V AC panels without a change of part. Six time scales run from 0.1 s to 24 h, and the function and range are set with front selectors while a trimmer sets the time within the range. Both flat blade and cross-head screwdrivers fit the selectors, the trimmer and the rail clip.

Choosing between the 80 series timers

The 80.01 is the multi-function version with the six functions listed above. The 80.01 NFC version adds NFC programming from the Finder Toolbox app for Android and iOS, with extra functions (asymmetrical flasher LI and LE and independent on and off delays CEb). Mono-function types in the same width include the 80.11 on-delay, 80.21 interval and 80.41 off-delay with control signal, all multi-voltage.

Common uses in control panels include delayed start of pumps and fans, star-delta changeover, interval pulses for lubrication or dosing, and flasher circuits. Selection is a matter of the timing function needed and the control voltage, and the multi-voltage input removes the voltage choice.

What to confirm before ordering

Confirm whether a control signal is required for the function (BE, CE and DE use one), the longest time required against the range steps, and the contact load. Check the order code against the label, since the NFC version of the 80.01 carries its own version code (N) in the ordering key. Related relay and timer items are in the automation accessories category.

About brand

Finder is an Italian manufacturer of relays, timers, power supplies and other electromechanical and electronic devices, founded in 1954 and headquartered in Almese, in the Susa Valley of Piedmont. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Finder modular contactors, safety relays and DIN rail power supplies for control panels, building services and machine automation.

Relay, contactor and power supply families

The range runs from step relays and modular contactors to safety relays with forcibly guided contacts and switch mode power supplies for 35 mm rail. Each series has a datasheet with ordering codes, coil data, contact ratings, derating curves and approvals, so a part can be specified or replaced by its full type code rather than by series name alone.

Ordering Finder products: what we need

Quote the complete ordering code, including coil voltage and contact variant, together with the quantity, the supply voltage and frequency of the installation and any approvals the project requires. With that information the matching Finder version can be confirmed against the datasheet before a quotation is issued.
