GCE X511 Original 0767691 Oxy-Fuel Cutting Torch
A long-reach hand cutting torch for heavy plate
The GCE X511 Original 0767691 is the 855 mm version of GCE’s X511 hand cutting torch, with a 90° head. The X511 works on the nozzle-mixing principle, and GCE gives it a capacity for cutting plate up to 500 mm thick. All standard three-cone nozzles fit, so the torch can run on acetylene or on propane and natural gas with the matching nozzle series.
The main body is brass, the tubes are stainless steel and the handle is metal. The preheat oxygen and fuel gas valves are mounted forward for easy flame control, and the knob valves use a self-centering stainless steel valve stem. The cutting oxygen lever is designed for piercing, gouging and rivet washing.

Nozzles and cutting data
GCE publishes nozzle tables in the X511 product sheet. For acetylene, the ANME series covers 3 mm to 300 mm in seven sizes; for example, nozzle 0768635 cuts 10–25 mm with 3.0–4.0 bar oxygen and 0.3 bar fuel gas. For propane or natural gas, the PNME series covers 3 mm to 500 mm; the largest nozzle 0769501 for 300–500 mm needs 7.0–8.5 bar oxygen and 0.3 bar fuel gas.
GCE also offers COOLEX three-cone sealed nozzles with a patented cooling flow duct. The manufacturer states that this lowers nozzle temperature, reduces interruptions and extends nozzle life. COOLEX gouging and rivet nozzles are listed separately.
Choosing the variant and safe set-up
The X511 Original comes in 470 mm, 855 mm and 1155 mm lengths, with 75°, 90° or 180° heads and G1/4″ or G3/8″ oxygen inlets. The 855 mm length keeps the operator further from the heat when cutting thick plate or scrap. Select the nozzle for the fuel gas and the plate thickness.
Connect the torch to cylinder regulators or a supply point with approved hoses and hose clamps, and check for leaks with soapy water or leak detection fluid. Fit the safety devices recommended by the manufacturer or required by national rules. Never use oil or grease on the torch; oil in contact with oxygen can cause an explosion. GCE states a product lifetime of 10 years.
The torch body is marked with the gas colour coding: oxygen inlets in blue, and acetylene, LPG and other fuel gases in red. Keep the cutting nozzle holes clean with suitable cleaning needles or the KR21 chemical cleaner. GCE warns against drill bits or steel wire, which damage the nozzle channels, because clean, sharp hole edges are needed for a proper flame and an even cutting oxygen flow.
