Read the two capacity figures together. The product page names 33 imperial tons, while the instruction sheet lists a maximum load of 309 kN (35 ton) when the load is on top of the lifting structure and 25 t (27 ton) when it sits on the toe in any position. Plan the lift against the toe figure if the load will be on the toe, and confirm with Enerpac before relying on either number.

The jack needs a pump rated for 700 bar with a relief valve that opens above 10,150 psi, a pump reservoir large enough to extend it fully, and a single hose to the 2-way valve. For single-acting cylinders the manual says to use a pump with a 2-way valve and one hose, and recommends Enerpac HF ISO 32 oil.

Installation and operation notes

Use both lifting eyebolts when unboxing or hoisting the jack and never lift it by the handle. Set the toe in one of three positions by unscrewing the pin, and keep the toe free to rotate. The feet rotate 180 degrees: with load on the toe they must face forward, while sideways is allowed only when lifting from the top for stability. Place the load close to the outer face of the pin so it covers the whole toe surface.

Remove trapped air by laying the jack on its front face with the pump higher than the jack and cycling the plunger until it moves smoothly. The plunger returns by spring, so extra hydraulic components may be needed to control the lowering rate under load. Keep oil cleanliness at ISO 4406 18/16/13 or better, and use the CT-604 coupler bleed tool to relieve trapped pressure rather than loosening a coupler.

General uses are machinery relocation and alignment, lifting compressor or pump skids to fit skates, and plant maintenance in tight machine rooms. The manual requires a flat and stable surface capable of supporting the load without settling; sand, mud or dirt may cause loss of load, which matters on unpaved construction and laydown areas.
