The Demag DC-Com chain hoist
The DC-Com has two hoist speeds as standard and a 24 V contactor control, so the pendant in the operator’s hand is at low voltage. The hoist and trolley enclosures are IP 55. A slipping clutch protects against overload, and an elapsed operating time counter with a diagnosis interface supports inspection planning. It is rated for operation from -20 °C to +45 °C and runs on Demag trolleys on beam flanges or in KBK rail.

What load capacities does the Demag DC-Com chain hoist cover?
Demag lists the DC-Com from 80 kg up to 2,000 kg, in four sizes (DC-Com 1, 2, 5 and 10), with 1,250 kg as the top single-reeving rating and 1,600 to 2,000 kg on 2/1 reeving. Lifting speed differs with the size, and every size has two hoist speeds as standard. Tell us the heaviest load including the lifting attachment, and how often it is lifted per hour.
Can a Demag DC-Com hoist run on a KBK light crane system or an I-beam?
Yes. According to Demag, the DC-Com is designed for its U-series trolleys, which run on parallel or sloping beam flanges or in KBK light crane system rails. For a quotation we need the beam profile and flange width, or the KBK rail size, and whether the trolley is to be pushed by hand or driven electrically.
How do I identify a Demag chain hoist for spare parts?
Read the nameplate on the hoist body: it gives the type, size, load capacity, serial number and year of manufacture. Chains, hooks, pendants and brake parts differ by size and reeving, so the serial number is needed. Send a photo of the nameplate and name the part required, and we check it against Demag documentation.
