Tractel Dynafor Pro Wireless Digital Dynamometer

Description

The Tractel Dynafor Pro is a versatile, robust wireless digital dynamometer covering 1 t to 250 t, the widest capacity range of the Dynafor family. It uses the same strain-gauge principle and 2.4 GHz radio plus Bluetooth link as the Expert, with 0.2 percent accuracy, and it is intended for heavy-lift projects, water-bag load testing, overhead weighing, towing and load monitoring of lifting equipment. Eight models give a standard code for every size from 1 t to 250 t.

Heavy-lift and proof-load work

The sheet lists the applications as overhead weighing, force measurement testing, water bag load testing, towing, safety and lifting applications, heavy-lift projects, research and development projects, and load monitoring on lifting equipment. For proof loading of cranes, davits and anchor points, a calibrated load cell in line with the test mass is the standard method, and water bags allow test masses to be built without heavy blocks. The wireless range of up to 400 m to the Dynafor HHD or AL63/128 large displays lets the operator and the observers read the same value from a safe distance, and the DMU unit manages thresholds.

Selecting a Dynafor Pro and what to confirm

Pick the model with a WLL above the largest load but no more than about ten times the smallest load of interest, because the sheet gives a minimum load of 10 percent of the WLL. Note the weight: the 100 t and 250 t cells weigh 27 kg and 98 kg and need lifting equipment themselves, and their end fittings must match the shackle sizes in the rigging. Radio range is open-field range; steel structures, buildings and weather reduce it. Specify the IP67 option if the cell will be immersed or washed, and remember that the accuracy figure changes with the option. Check the radio approvals for the country of use and ask for the calibration certificate that matches your quality plan.

Record the serial number and the calibration date of each cell, because a reading is only as dependable as the calibration behind it, and have the cell checked again after any shock load or overload event. Keep spare batteries with the kit.

About brand

Tractel is a manufacturer of lifting and pulling equipment, load measurement instruments and working-at-height safety products, and part of the Alimak Group. Its Tirfor wire rope pulling machine dates back to 1941.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Tractel lifting and load measurement products with the manufacturer technical sheets, for rigging, maintenance and construction teams in Oman and the GCC.

Tractel product series

Lifting and pulling equipment includes the Tirfor T500 manual wire rope pulling machine and the Tirfor TU hoist to EN 13157, the Tralift manual chain hoist from 0.25 to 20 t, the Bravo Desync lever chain hoist and the NX and NXR non-marring plate clamps.

Load measurement includes the Dynafor Industrial, Dynafor Pro and Dynafor Expert digital dynamometers (the latter two wireless), the handifor Mini digital weigher for 20 to 200 kg and the Dynarope HF36 wire rope tension meter.

Where Tractel equipment is used

Rigging and maintenance lifting in plants and workshops, pulling and tensioning on construction sites and in mines, proof testing of lifting set-ups, overhead weighing and checking guy wire and cable tension on towers and structures.

Ordering Tractel products: what we need

Send the model and working load limit, lifting height or rope length, the standard and marking required, and for dynamometers the capacity, resolution and display or wireless option. Rigging equipment must be selected, inspected and used according to the manufacturer instructions and local regulations.
