A compact vector drive that is 40 percent smaller
The Delta MH300 is the new generation high performance compact vector control drive from Delta, reduced in size by 40 percent compared with the previous generation. The catalogue (July 2021) lists built-in essentials as standard: PLC capacity of 5k steps for simple programming, two communication option slots, a USB port, support for both induction (IM) and permanent magnet (PM) motors, an STO function and screwless control terminal wiring.
Delta quotes a 71 percent size reduction against its earlier VFD150B43A for the VFD32AMH43ANSAA comparison, and side-by-side installation with zero spacing at ambient temperatures up to 40 deg C. Typical targets are rewinders, slitters, printing, drawing and coil winding machines, machine tools, woodworking and textile machines.

Features that matter on the machine
MH300 supports 4 independent induction motor parameter sets, or up to 8 using the built-in PLC, for multi-motor switching. Built-in tension control offers coil diameter calculation, two PID parameter sets, tensile taper calculation, auto lap changing and friction and inertia compensation, in open or closed loop, torque or speed modes. Deceleration Energy Control can shorten braking time without a brake resistor, and Deceleration Energy Backup brings the motor to a controlled stop on power loss.
The drive has 100 percent PCB coating to IEC 60721-3-3 class 3C2, IP40 models for dusty fibre environments, a removable fan and removable RFI jumper. Pulse input up to 33 kHz allows simple closed loop control without a PG card.

About brand
Delta, founded in 1971 in Taiwan, is known on the factory floor for compact PLCs, drives and power supplies. Its DVP controllers are small PLCs often seen in machine panels. Seven Star LLC lists the Delta DVP04AD-S2 analog input module and the ESR-48/30D rectifier module, and sources Delta PLC modules and power parts for panel builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
Delta PLC families and the DVP slim line
Delta's controller program runs from the DVP series through the modular AS series to the AH series. Inside the DVP series, the slim CPUs (among them DVP-SS2, SA2, SX2, SV2 and SE) take slim expansion modules on their right side. The DVP04AD-S2 is one of these: a four-channel analog input module for voltage or current signals, which the CPU reads with FROM and TO instructions.
