Control Techniques drive families we list

The Commander C200 is a general purpose AC drive for open loop control of standard induction motors. The Unidrive M701 belongs to the high performance Unidrive M700 group and is the version with RS485 communications on board, the one normally chosen when an older Unidrive SP has to be replaced.

Ordering Control Techniques drives and spares: what we need

Send the full model code from the rating label, which gives the frame size, voltage rating and current rating, together with the serial number. Add the motor nameplate data, the supply voltage and a list of the option modules in the drive slots. If parameters must be carried over, keep a copy of the parameter file or the memory card.

Frequently Asked Questions

What separates the Unidrive M701 from the M700 and M702?
The three drives belong to one family and differ in their built-in interfaces. The M700 has Ethernet on board, the M701 has RS485 and matches the control connections of the earlier Unidrive SP, and the M702 is the version with dual Safe Torque Off inputs. Order the exact variant shown on your label or drawing.
Can a Unidrive SP be replaced by a Unidrive M701?
The manufacturer names the M701 as the upgrade path from the Unidrive SP; it keeps RS485 communications and the same control terminal layout. Frame dimensions, option modules and parameters are not identical in every case, so send the Unidrive SP model code and the list of fitted modules. We check the corresponding M701 rating and options in the manufacturer's documentation.
How do I read the rating label of a Control Techniques drive?
The model code begins with the product name, for example C200 or M701, followed by a block of digits that gives the frame size, the voltage rating and the current rating, and then letters for the format and options. The label also shows the input and output ratings and the serial number. A photo of the complete label is the safest reference.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Control Techniques?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent industrial supplier in Muscat and is not an authorized distributor or agent of Control Techniques. We source Control Techniques drives, keypads and option modules through commercial channels, check the model or order code against the manufacturer's documentation, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues with the order on request.
