Lenze E82EV113K4C 8200 vector Frequency Inverter 11 kW 400 V
Description
11 kW drive for 400 V supplies
For 3/PE 400 V mains and a 11 kW (15 hp) motor, Lenze’s 8200 vector programme offers the Lenze E82EV113K4C. It provides 35.3 A for 60 s of overload and up to 650 Hz output. This is a legacy part: Lenze places the 8200 vector in its previous-products section. All values below are taken from the Lenze catalogue edition 11/02, so confirm that the part can still be supplied.

Reading the type code E82EV113K4C
E82EV is the catalogue prefix for the base controller, 113 gives 11 kW and K4C the 400 V class. The stem alone does not say whether an EMC filter is built in: suffix 0xx does, 2xx does not, and the catalogue prints both.
Selection and installation notes
The quick-selection guide pairs it with the Standard I/O PT function module E82ZAFSC010 for terminal control and lists the Keypad XT EMZ9371BC as an option. Check the motor nameplate against the 23.5 A continuous output rather than relying on the kW figure alone. Choosing 16 kHz for quieter running reduces the rated current to 13.0 A. The catalogue lists a mains choke as required for this type. Two derating rules apply: minus 2.5% for every degree over +40 degrees C and minus 5% for every 1000 m over 1000 m altitude. Vertical mounting with 100 mm clearance above and below is required.
Beyond the ratings, the catalogue describes a speed setting range of 1:50 with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.5 percent in sensorless operation, a minimum output frequency of 1.0 Hz and a maximum torque of 1.8 times rated torque for 60 s. Setpoints can be given digitally with plus or minus 0.005 Hz accuracy or through analog inputs with 10-bit resolution. Combined with the output rating of 23.5 A, this makes the 11 kW size suitable for ordinary variable-speed duty on standard induction motors.
Size ladder
Listed beside it in the 400 V class: the next size down is 7.5 kW (E82EV752K4C).
Where cabinet space is tight, compare the dimensions in the table with your panel layout and leave the free space above and below that the catalogue requires for cooling.
Key features of the 8200 vector controller
- Sensorless vector control: good torque at low speed without a motor encoder, alongside a simpler V/f characteristic for pumps and fans.
- Function module slot: the controller accepts plug-in function modules for standard I/O, extended I/O or fieldbus communication, so the same base unit can be adapted to different control schemes.
- DC bus operation: the alternative DC supply range allows several controllers to share a common DC bus, which can exchange braking energy between drives.
- Selectable switching frequency: a lower chopper frequency gives the full current rating, a higher one gives quieter motor running at reduced current.
- Wide output frequency: suitable for special high-speed motors as well as standard four-pole motors.
Replacing an existing 8200 vector in the field
Because the 8200 vector series is a previous-generation Lenze product, most enquiries for the E82EV113K4C come from maintenance teams replacing a failed unit on an existing machine. In that situation, an identical type code is the quickest way back into production: the mounting dimensions, terminal layout and parameter structure are the same, and the parameter set can often be transferred with the keypad from a backup or re-entered from the machine documentation.
Before ordering, read the full type code and suffix from the nameplate of the installed unit, because filter and design variants share the same stem. Note which function module is fitted and whether a keypad, brake resistor or mains choke is part of the installation. If a like-for-like unit is not available, Lenze offers successor drive ranges; changing to a newer series usually requires checking dimensions, wiring and parameters, and sometimes PLC communication, so it should be planned rather than done during a breakdown.
Keeping a parameter backup
Whatever the replacement route, record the active parameter set while the existing drive still works. The keypad can store and transfer parameters, and Lenze engineering software can save them to a file. This single step greatly shortens recovery time after a failure.
Installation and maintenance in hot, dusty plants
The derating rules quoted above matter in the Gulf climate. A panel installed outdoors or in an unconditioned building can easily run above the temperature at which derating starts, so ventilated or air-conditioned enclosures are recommended for continuous duty. Keep the heatsink and cooling fan free from dust, and check the fan for noise or reduced airflow during planned shutdowns.
Use shielded motor cable with the shield bonded at both ends, keep control wiring apart from power cables, and fit the mains choke required for this type. Electrolytic capacitors in any drive age during long storage; for spare units kept on the shelf for years, follow the manufacturer’s guidance on reforming before putting them into service.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
The 11 kW rating covers machinery such as conveyors, mixers, extruders, process pumps, fans and hoisting auxiliaries on equipment supplied by European OEMs, many of which are still in service in factories, water facilities and packaging lines across the region.
What to include in an RFQ
- Complete type code and suffix from the nameplate, with a photo if possible.
- Fitted function module and accessories such as keypad or brake resistor.
- Motor data and application, in case a successor product must be offered.
- Quantity, urgency and delivery location.
Documents and quotation
This page draws on the attached 11/02 Lenze catalogue for the 8200 vector; because the edition is old, verify any value against the drive’s nameplate. The AC Drives category lists similar products. For a quotation send the full type designation including suffix, the supply voltage and the motor nameplate data, and confirm availability before ordering.

About brand
Lenze is a German company for drive and automation technology for machine building, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Aerzen, Lower Saxony. Its portfolio runs from frequency inverters, servo inverters and motors to controllers, engineering software and digital services.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Lenze frequency and servo inverters, including current and earlier generations, for machine builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
Lenze product series
Current inverters on this site are the i500 family: the i510 compact frequency inverter, the i550 cabinet inverter and its i550 protec decentral version for mounting on the machine, and the i950 cabinet servo inverter. Earlier generations that are still widely installed are also listed: the 8400 StateLine C inverters (E84AVSC...), the 8200 vector frequency inverters (E82EV...) and the 9300 servo position controllers and servo inverters (EVS93...), including versions with Safe Torque Off.
Where Lenze drives are used
Conveyors and intralogistics, packaging and bottling lines, pumps and fans, hoists, textile and printing machines, and positioning axes on special machines. Many plants in the region keep 8200 vector and 9300 drives in service and need exact replacements or a planned migration to the i500 series.
Ordering Lenze inverters: what we need
Send the complete type code from the nameplate, for example E84AVSCE5524SX0, together with the supply voltage, motor power and current, the control interface or fieldbus module, and any options such as safety functions, keypad or brake resistor. When replacing an installed drive, keep the parameter set and wiring records, because a new unit or a successor model must be parameterised to match the machine.
