Description
A 16 A single-pole industrial relay with test button
The 46.61.9.024.0040 is a miniature industrial relay from the Finder 46 series with one changeover contact rated 16 A at 250 V AC. It has a 24 V DC coil, Faston 187 (4.8 x 0.5 mm) plug-in terminals and a combined lockable test button and mechanical flag indicator on top of the housing.
The test button works in two ways. Pushed with the plastic pip intact, it operates the contacts only while held. With the pip broken off, pushing and turning the button latches the contacts in the operated state until the button is turned back. That lets a technician force a load on or off during commissioning or fault finding without a signal from the control system. The flag shows the armature position at a glance.

Sockets, modules and variants
The 46.61 plugs into the 97 series sockets: the 97.01 box clamp socket (16 A, 250 V AC) and the 97.P1 push-in socket for 35 mm rail or panel mounting, with a plastic retaining clip, metal clip, jumper links and marker tag holder as accessories. Coil indication and EMC suppression modules from the 99 series and timer module 86.30 fit the same sockets.
The same 46 series also includes the 46.52 two-pole 8 A relay, solder terminal versions, AC coils and LED options (54 for AC, 74 for non-polarised DC). An AgSnO2 contact variant of the 46.61, with the higher peak current rating noted above, is selected through the contact material digit of the code.

Confirm coil voltage and type (this code is 24 V DC), the load type and current against the AC1, AC15 and DC1 ratings, and the socket that will be used, because the relay alone does not carry a mounting base.
