Overview
Bartec Agile-X IS is a purpose-built, intrinsically safe industrial tablet PC engineered from the ground up for continuous use inside Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous locations. Operating Principle
The Bartec Agile-X IS achieves intrinsic safety through a design philosophy known as Ex ia protection, in which every internal circuit is limited so that neither the energy nor the temperature it can release is ever sufficient to ignite a surrounding explosive atmosphere, even under two simultaneous fault conditions. The tablet’s quad-core Intel Pentium N3710 processor, 8GB of onboard memory and 128GB solid-state storage are mounted on a monolithic board with current-limited circuitry, encapsulated connectors and a thermal fuse that continuously monitors for overheating.
