Axiomtek IPC970 Industrial System with W480E
Description
A Xeon-capable industrial PC for accelerator cards and ECC memory
The Axiomtek IPC970 uses an LGA1200 socket for Intel Xeon or 10th Generation Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors (Comet Lake-S) up to 80 W on the Intel W480E chipset. Four DDR4-2933 U-DIMM sockets accept ECC or non-ECC memory, up to 128 GB, which is the main reason to choose it over the LGA1700 IPC96xA family where ECC and larger memory are needed.
The datasheet states that up to 400 W is available for an accelerator card, and the cage offers PCIe x8 (x4 signal) slots. Display outputs are VGA and HDMI, and a 24 VDC supply is specified.

Matching slots, cards and I/O modules
The flexible system I/O window takes AX93511 (four serial ports), AX93512 and AX93516 (isolated), and AX93519 (LAN, serial and USB), the last three project-based. Because the datasheet text refers to slots 1 and 2 while the order code mentions three PCIe slots, confirm the exact slot configuration with the manufacturer when a card is specified.
Accessories include a wall-mount bracket kit and project-based internal SSD/HDD and memory holder brackets.
Confirm before ordering
List the accelerator or acquisition card with its power draw, the memory (ECC or not), the operating system (Windows 10, 11, IoT versions or Linux) and the 24 VDC supply. The datasheet weight line shows a net weight above the gross weight, so it is not quoted here; ask for the shipping weight.
Documents and quotation
The manufacturer datasheet for the IPC970 is attached to this page as a PDF (document type: datasheet) so the figures above can be checked against the source. For a quotation, send the full model or ordering code, quantity, any options such as modules or accessories, and the delivery location through the RFQ form. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat; availability and lead time are confirmed per request. About brand
Axiomtek is a Taiwanese maker of industrial computers and embedded systems, founded in 1990 in Taipei by YT Yang. It began as a systems integrator for automatic test systems, then moved into single board computers and industrial PCs. The company is based in New Taipei City and also owns the networking business EtherWAN.
Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Axiomtek fanless eBOX computers and front-access IPC industrial systems such as the eBOX671B and the IPC980, each with the manufacturer datasheet.

Milestones
- 1990: YT Yang founds Axiomtek in Taipei.
- 2015: Axiomtek marks its 25th anniversary.
Axiomtek product families
The eBOX line covers compact fanless computers with wide DC input, from small Alder Lake-N units to LGA1700 systems with MXM graphics. The IPC line uses a vertical front-access chassis with optional PCIe slot cages for add-in cards, and one IP67 model with M12 connectors. Operating ranges, power input and I/O differ between models, so the datasheet should be read against the application, for example whether a -40 C rating, ignition control or a given number of serial ports is needed.

Ordering Axiomtek systems
Send the full order code including the suffix, plus the processor, memory, storage and any I/O modules or mounting kits. Most systems in the range are ordered without CPU, memory and drives, so those must be specified separately, and wide-temperature parts are sorted through the manufacturer. The datasheet ordering section also lists mounting kits, adapters and add-on modules for each model.
Facts checked against Axiomtek's 25th anniversary release and company profiles, October 2026.
