What does EN 50155 mean on a Winsonic switch?
EN 50155 is the European standard for electronic equipment used on rail vehicles. Besides EMC it sets requirements for shock, vibration, extended temperature, humidity and supply voltage variation. The Winsonic M12 switches listed here are specified to this standard for on-board and wayside networks. If your project specification names a particular temperature class or test report, state it in the inquiry.
Why do you ask for the full Winsonic part number?
Winsonic part numbers have a base model followed by a suffix, for example NE10002-208423 and NE10003-208423. The suffix separates versions that can differ in port arrangement, PoE level or housing. Two units with the same base name are therefore not always interchangeable. Copy the complete number from the label or the manufacturer's datasheet so we quote the exact version.
Which IP rating do Winsonic M12 switches have?
It depends on the model. The M12 switches come with different sealing levels, IP65 on some part numbers and IP68 on others, and the rating belongs to the individual part number, not to the whole series. Tell us whether the switch sits inside a cabinet, under a vehicle floor or outdoors, and we will confirm the rating from the manufacturer's datasheet for that part number.
How do I choose a Winsonic 4G or 5G router for a site in the Gulf?
Start with the mobile operator, since the router must support that operator's frequency bands. Then list what connects to it: number of Ethernet ports, RS-232 or RS-485 devices, single or dual SIM, VPN needs and the supply voltage on site. For vehicles, say so, because the NE20001 transit gateway is the EN 50155 version.
