Brand:

Mitsubishi TH-T25 Thermal Overload Relay, 0.2 to 26 A

Description

A trip-class 10A thermal relay for 22 A motor circuits

The Mitsubishi Electric TH-T25 is the thermal overload relay of the MS-T family that covers motor currents from 0.2 A up to 26 A in sixteen heater designations. It has two heating elements; the TH-T25KP variant has three. It clips onto the contactor it protects, so the starter keeps the compact footprint of the MS-T range, and it carries a trip-class 10A characteristic with a built-in ambient temperature compensator.

When the motor draws more than the set current for too long, the bimetal elements trip the relay and its 1a1b auxiliary contact opens the contactor coil circuit. The relay is trip-free, so it cannot be held closed against an overload, and it gives a lever indication of the tripped state and a manual trip check for commissioning. Reset is switchable between manual and automatic.

Setting the relay and matching it to the contactor

Select the heater designation whose adjustable range contains the motor full-load current, then set the dial to that current. The catalogue pairs TH-T25 with the S-T21 and S-T25 contactors, and with the S-T35 and S-T50 frames when the current falls in the T25 range; the smaller TH-T18 serves the T10 to T20 frames. The same selection table lists standard three-phase motor ratings for each heater designation.

The relay is calibrated at 20 C. If the installation is warmer or colder, correct the setting: the catalogue example for a TH-T25 at 40 C ambient (55 C on the control board) reads 97 percent compensation at the minimum scale, so a 15 A motor is set to 15.5 A. Operating current also rises slightly when the ambient temperature is low. Its tripping characteristics for different currents are shown in the catalogue curves.

Confirm before ordering: whether 2-element or 3-element (KP) construction is needed, the heater designation, the contactor frame to which it is fitted, the auxiliary contact use, and any variant such as saturable-reactor or quick-acting types. Pair it with a contactor from the same series, such as the S-T series contactors in the contactors and overload relays category, or compare with the ABB TA25DU thermal overload relay in the same category.

About brand

Laboratories that run an NSX-2100 trace sulfur, nitrogen or chlorine analyzer usually know it as a Mitsubishi instrument. The nameplate reads Mitsubishi Chemical Analytech, a name later changed to Nittoseiko Analytech. Seven Star LLC lists the TN6RPC gas tube dryer set for this analyzer and sources NSX-2100 consumables for refinery and fuel-testing laboratories in Oman and the GCC.

The Mitsubishi listing also includes Mitsubishi Electric factory automation and drive products: MR-J3, MR-J5 and MR-JE servo amplifiers, GOT2000 and GOT SIMPLE HMI touch panels, FR-A800, FR-E800, FR-F800 and FR-CS80 FREQROL inverters, MELSEC iQ-F PLC modules, MELSEC A-series input and temperature modules with a memory cassette, and S-T magnetic contactors and TH-T thermal overload relays.

Mitsubishi NSX-2100 parts

The NSX-2100 was built with a horizontal or a vertical furnace, and one furnace can serve several detectors. The dryer set removes water from the combustion gas before it reaches the detector. Like the connection kits, it is a consumable, and its part code changes with the analyzer variant.

Ordering NSX-2100 consumables: what we need

Send the part code, for example TN6RPC, together with the exact analyzer model shown on the nameplate (the letters after NSX-2100 indicate furnace type and detectors), the serial number and the detectors fitted. Some original part codes have been replaced by newer ones, so we check each code against the manufacturer's current parts list before quoting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What current range does the TH-T25 cover?
Sixteen heater designations from 0.24 A (0.2-0.32 A) to 22 A (18-26 A).
What is the trip class?
The catalogue gives trip class 10A for the T25 frame.
