Brand:

Mitsubishi MR-JE-B SSCNET III/H Servo Amplifier

Description

A fibre-optic motion network servo amplifier for multi-axis machines

The Mitsubishi Electric MR-JE-B connects a MELSERVO-JE axis to a motion controller over SSCNET III/H, the optical servo network of the Mitsubishi motion range. Instead of pulse and analog wiring, each amplifier is daisy-chained with a light-weight fibre cable, which reduces wiring on machines with many axes and keeps noise from the power cable out of the position command.

The catalogue quotes a 150 Mbps full-duplex link and a command cycle of 0.444 ms, with synchronous communication for applications such as printing, food processing and packaging where axes must stay in step. The amplifier is compatible with Simple Motion modules that provide mark detection, electronic cam and advanced synchronous control.

Controllers and wiring for MR-JE-B

The catalogue shows the amplifier connected to servo system controllers including the MELSEC iQ-R motion CPUs R16MTCPU, R32MTCPU and R64MTCPU, the Q-series Simple Motion and Motion CPUs, the iQ-F FX5-40SSC-S and FX5-80SSC-S modules, and the MR-MC series motion controller. Up to 16 axes can be set with the rotary switch on each amplifier, and connections between axes use MR-J3BUS cables of 0.5 m up to 40 m, depending on the type.

Power wiring depends on supply and size: sizes up to 1 kW share one terminal arrangement for 1-phase or 3-phase input, and 2 kW and 3 kW use an extra regenerative-option terminal set. A regenerative option replaces the built-in resistor on heavy duty axes; take care to disconnect the built-in resistor wires before connecting it. An absolute-position battery is optional.

Matching with servo motors

The same HG-KN and HG-SN servo motors that pair with the JE-A and JE-C amplifiers pair with the JE-B, and the B version supports either an absolute or an incremental 17-bit encoder with 131,072 pulses per revolution. Compare it with the older MR-J3-100BS4 if you are replacing SSCNET III hardware, or browse the servo drives category.

Amplifier Servo motor Rated output Mass
MR-JE-10B HG-KN13(B)J 0.1 kW 0.8 kg
MR-JE-20B HG-KN23(B)J 0.2 kW 0.8 kg
MR-JE-40B HG-KN43(B)J 0.4 kW 0.8 kg
MR-JE-70B HG-KN73(B)J / HG-SN52(B)J 0.75 kW 1.5 kg
MR-JE-100B HG-SN102(B)J 1 kW 1.5 kg
MR-JE-200B HG-SN152(B)J / HG-SN202(B)J 2 kW 2.1 kg
MR-JE-300B HG-SN302(B)J 3 kW 2.1 kg

Confirm before ordering: that the controller is SSCNET III/H capable, the motor model and size, supply phase, regenerative option, battery for absolute operation, and the SSCNET cable lengths.

About brand

Laboratories that run an NSX-2100 trace sulfur, nitrogen or chlorine analyzer usually know it as a Mitsubishi instrument. The nameplate reads Mitsubishi Chemical Analytech, a name later changed to Nittoseiko Analytech. Seven Star LLC lists the TN6RPC gas tube dryer set for this analyzer and sources NSX-2100 consumables for refinery and fuel-testing laboratories in Oman and the GCC.

The Mitsubishi listing also includes Mitsubishi Electric factory automation and drive products: MR-J3, MR-J5 and MR-JE servo amplifiers, GOT2000 and GOT SIMPLE HMI touch panels, FR-A800, FR-E800, FR-F800 and FR-CS80 FREQROL inverters, MELSEC iQ-F PLC modules, MELSEC A-series input and temperature modules with a memory cassette, and S-T magnetic contactors and TH-T thermal overload relays.

Mitsubishi NSX-2100 parts

The NSX-2100 was built with a horizontal or a vertical furnace, and one furnace can serve several detectors. The dryer set removes water from the combustion gas before it reaches the detector. Like the connection kits, it is a consumable, and its part code changes with the analyzer variant.

Ordering NSX-2100 consumables: what we need

Send the part code, for example TN6RPC, together with the exact analyzer model shown on the nameplate (the letters after NSX-2100 indicate furnace type and detectors), the serial number and the detectors fitted. Some original part codes have been replaced by newer ones, so we check each code against the manufacturer's current parts list before quoting.
