Description
Four fixed views and a PTZ in one housing
The Hanwha Vision PNM-9322VQP is a multi-directional camera that combines four exchangeable lens modules with a 32x optical PTZ dome in the centre. The four modules can be 2MP or 5MP, so one camera can cover a junction, a yard corner, a warehouse floor or a large car park from a single pole or wall bracket and a single network cable.
Hanwha lists a combined resolution of 10 to 22 MP depending on the lens modules chosen, up to 60 fps at 2MP or 30 fps at 5MP, and WDR up to 150 dB with 2MP modules (120 dB with 5MP). Fixed lens options are 2.4, 2.8, 3.6, 6 and 12 mm for 2MP modules, and 3.7, 4.6 and 7 mm for 5MP modules. The PTZ unit has a 4.44 to 142.6 mm lens (32x) and day and night ICR operation.

Selecting modules, mounts and recording
The main decision is the lens module for each of the four directions. A 2.4 or 2.8 mm module gives a wide view near the camera; 6 or 12 mm modules reach further. The 5MP modules give more detail but a lower WDR figure. Mix modules to suit the scene, then let the PTZ confirm detail on demand. The modules are listed as separate part numbers (SLA-series), so the enquiry should state the module for each of the four positions.
Power and network are demanding: the camera needs 802.3bt Type 4 Class 8 PoE++ with up to 65 W, and a single 10/100 Ethernet link carries all five streams, so check the bandwidth and the recording server capacity. Five microSD slots are provided for edge recording. The unit weighs 7.05 kg with a diameter of 367.8 mm, so pole or wall brackets must be rated for the load; Hanwha lists SBP-300PM, SBP-300KM and SBP-390WM2 as compatible mounts.
Compared with one PTZ such as the XNP-9300RW, the multi-directional camera records all four directions continuously, which helps investigations. State the module list, mount, VMS and power source when requesting a quotation.
