AMETEK Drexelbrook RCT-1210 RF Level Transmitter (409-T120-000)
Overview
The AMETEK Drexelbrook RCT-1210 is a smart RF admittance level transmitter from the RCT 10/11/12/13 series, fitted with the 409-T120-000 electronic board. It measures level of liquids, solids and slurries in tanks and vessels, transmitting a 4-20 mA HART signal. The Cote-Shield technology makes the measurement essentially immune to the effects of conductive coating or build-up on the sensing element.
Engineering and Design
The 409-T electronics cover an input range of 1.0 to 40,000 pF with accuracy of +/-0.25% of range, including linearity, hysteresis and repeatability. Supply voltage is 12-30 V DC (minimum 12 V at 20 mA) with a maximum loop load of 750 ohms. Step response is under 1 second to 90% of final value, with an optional 0-90 second delay for slow-moving processes.
The transmitter operates at ambient temperatures from -40 to +75 C, and the temperature effect is only +/-1% of range per 50 F (30 C). The aluminum enclosure is rated NEMA 4X / IP65 with 3/4 NPT conduit entries and M20 adapters. The sensing element and cable are intrinsically safe for Class I Groups A-D, Class II Groups E-G, Class III Div. 1, and EEx ia Zone 0 (KEMA 03 ATEX 1249 X) when installed per the approval drawing.
