Camfil Airopac Traditional APE 0155 610x610x292-F0 F7 Box Filter
Description
A rigid box filter with a 110 degC temperature limit
The Camfil Airopac Traditional APE 0155 610x610x292-F0 is a rigid glass fibre box filter with aluminium separators and a galvanised header frame. It is rated F7 under EN 779 and ePM1 55% under ISO 16890, 610 mm x 610 mm in face size and 292 mm deep. Camfil lists its application as air conditioning and preparatory filtration in cleanrooms.
What sets this model apart in the Camfil set is its heat tolerance: the sheet prints a maximum temperature of 110 degC and a maximum airflow of 1.15 x nominal. The other Camfil types in this set are limited to 50 to 90 degC.
Datasheet advantages
- Large surface area and low pressure drop.
- Rigid design concept; robust metal header frame.
- High dust holding capacity.
- Glass fibre media, aluminium separator, polyurethane gasket and sealant.
- Front and side access housings and frames are available; front dimensions according to EN 15805.

The 0155 type in four sizes
| Type | Airflow | Pressure drop | Media area | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| APE 0155 305x610x150-F0 | 650 m3/h | 50 Pa | 3.8 m2 | 3.2 kg |
| APE 0155 610x610x150-F0 | 1,300 m3/h | 50 Pa | 7.8 m2 | 5.1 kg |
| APE 0155 305x610x292-F0 | 1,300 m3/h | 80 Pa | 7.7 m2 | 5.3 kg |
| APE 0155 610x610x292-F0 (this page) | 2,500 m3/h | 70 Pa | 15.6 m2 | 8.9 kg |
The 292 mm deep full-size unit moves nearly twice the air of the 150 mm unit (2,500 against 1,300 m3/h, derived) for 20 Pa more, because it has twice the media area.
Comparing the Airopac with other Camfil F7 types
Among Camfil types in this set, the Airopac Traditional is the only one with a 110 degC limit, and it is also stated for cleanroom preparatory filtration. Its rated 70 Pa initial resistance is close to the Opakair F7 at 110 Pa for 4,500 m3/h, but the Airopac moves 2,500 m3/h on the same face, so a bank sized for the Opakair would need more Airopac elements.
Airflow per element is thus a selection driver; compare area and face velocity, not just class.
All grades printed in the Airopac Traditional table
| Type | Class | Airflow | Initial pressure drop | Media area |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| APE 2550 610x610x150-F0 | M6 / ePM2.5 50% | 1,300 m3/h | 15 Pa | 7.8 m2 |
| APE 2550 610x610x292-F0 | M6 / ePM2.5 50% | 2,500 m3/h | 45 Pa | 13.6 m2 |
| APE 0155 610x610x150-F0 | F7 / ePM1 55% | 1,300 m3/h | 50 Pa | 7.8 m2 |
| APE 0155 610x610x292-F0 (this page) | F7 / ePM1 55% | 2,500 m3/h | 70 Pa | 15.6 m2 |
| APE 0180 610x610x150-F0 | F9 / ePM1 80% | 950 m3/h | 45 Pa | 7.8 m2 |
| APE 0180 610x610x292-F0 | F9 / ePM1 80% | 2,000 m3/h | 85 Pa | 15.6 m2 |
Weights rise with depth: 3.2 kg for the 305x610x150 unit up to 8.9 kg for the 610x610x292. Reading the table: the code starts with APE, then a class block (2550, 0155 or 0180), then the face size and depth, and finally the suffix F0. The sheet does not decode the suffix, so keep it exactly as printed. The F9 grade carries less airflow (2,000 m3/h) than the F7 on the same face (the sheet prints no reason, so ask if the difference matters to your design).
Maximum final resistance is not tabulated; use the recommended final pressure drop (initial plus 100 Pa, or three times initial if lower), which gives 170 Pa for this type.
Handling and enquiry checklist
- Quote APE 0155 610x610x292-F0 exactly, with quantity.
- State duct or housing temperature if above 70 degC, so the 110 degC rating is the reason for the choice.
- Confirm face size against the housing: 610 x 610 mm, not the 592 mm module.
- Say whether the filters will serve a cleanroom preparatory stage, so the downstream filter class can be matched.
Selecting and fitting
Other grades on the same sheet: APE 2550 (M6, ePM2.5 50%) and APE 0180 (F9, ePM1 80%).
The recommended final pressure drop for the 0155 is 170 Pa (70 + 100, derived). Fit a differential pressure gauge. For high-temperature ducts, confirm the gasket and sealant ratings with the manufacturer, as the sheet gives one 110 degC figure only. See other filtration elements.
Fitting and replacement notes
The Airopac is a rigid box filter, so it needs a frame or rails matched to the 610 x 610 mm face and a firm seal around the header. Observe the printed maximum temperature of 110 degC when comparing it with other filters in the system. Replace it when the final pressure drop is reached, and handle it by the frame to protect the media pack.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full filter code, the quantity, the housing or frame type it must fit, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any prefilters or accessories, so that the complete filter set can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Filter class, airflow, pressure drop and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Camfil is a Swedish manufacturer of air filters and clean air solutions, founded in 1963 in Trosa, Sweden, by Gösta Larson as a joint venture with the American Cambridge Filter Corporation. It started by supplying the high-grade filters that Sweden's new nuclear plants needed. The Larson family bought out Cambridge in 1983, and Camfil remains family-controlled.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Camfil filters against the exact type code on the Camfil data sheet, for HVAC contractors, facility teams and plant engineers in Oman and the GCC.

Camfil product series
Bag filters include the Cam-Flo ES ePM1 70%, the Basic-Flo ePM10 70% economy bag, the Hi-Cap CO60 coarse prefilter and the City-Flo ePM1 85% bag with activated carbon for urban air. The 30/30 panel prefilter is a pleated ePM10 50% filter for the first stage of an air handling unit.
Compact and box filters include the Opakair F8 and Airopac F7 filters, and HEPA filters include the Absolute VG H13 compact filter and the Megalam ProSafe MX14 H14 panel for cleanrooms and controlled environments. The CamClose compact coalescing pre-filter protects gas turbine and engine intakes against salt and moisture.
Where Camfil filters are used
Air handling units in offices, malls, hospitals and hotels, cleanrooms and laboratories, pharmaceutical and food plants, data centres, and gas turbine and compressor air intakes, where dust and humidity in the Gulf climate shorten filter life.

Ordering Camfil filters: what we need
Send the Camfil type code, or the filter class (ISO 16890 ePM rating or EN 1822 HEPA class), the face size and depth, the number of pockets for bag filters, the frame material, the airflow and the quantity. A photo of the label on the old filter usually gives all of this.
