Camfil Basic-Flo ePM10 70% Economy Bag Filter 592x592x600-6
Description
An economy bag filter for comfort air conditioning and prefilter duties
The Camfil Basic-Flo 1070 592x592x600-6 is the economy version of the Camfil pocket filter range: six conical synthetic bags in a galvanised steel header frame, 592 x 592 mm front and 600 mm deep. Classified M6 under EN 779 and ePM10 70% under ISO 16890, it is intended by Camfil for comfort air conditioning applications and as a prefilter.
For a facility manager the attraction is cost per airflow: the unit carries 3,400 m3/h at 60 Pa initial pressure drop using 4.5 m2 of media, while weighing 2.4 kg. It is a sensible first filter ahead of ePM1 bag or box filters in offices, retail and residential towers, where dust from sand and construction is the main load.
Advantages printed in the datasheet
- Media area optimised through conical filter bags.
- Resilient synthetic filter media.
- Robust metal header frame, galvanised steel.
- Positioned as the economy version of the bag filter range.

Reading the figures
The ePM1 min value of 8% against 30% initial shows that this class depends strongly on its charge: the minimum efficiency after conditioning is the number to design to if the filter must meet a particle target. Without that, ePM10 71% is the dependable figure. The recommended final pressure drop is 160 Pa (60 + 100, derived).
Humidity tolerance is lower than the Cam-Flo or Hi-Cap sheets: this filter is rated to 90 percent relative humidity, not 100 percent. In humid coastal sites keep it on the downstream side of any droplet separation.
Other sizes in the Basic-Flo 1070 class
| Type | Airflow | Initial pressure drop | Media area |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1070 592x592x600-6 | 3,400 m3/h | 60 Pa | 4.5 m2 |
| 1070 592x592x520-6 | 3,400 m3/h | 65 Pa | 3.7 m2 |

| 1070 287x592x600-3 | 1,700 m3/h | 60 Pa | 2.3 m2 |
| 1070 287x287x600-3 | 800 m3/h | 60 Pa | 1.1 m2 |
The same sheet also lists 1050 (M5, ePM10 50%) at 50 Pa and 2570 (F7, ePM2.5 70%) at 120 Pa in the 600 mm depth. Pick the 1070 for ePM10 70% with moderate resistance.
Installation
The datasheet states that front and side access housings and frames are available, and that front dimensions follow EN 15805. Measure the existing frame for depth before replacing a 520 or 370 mm filter with a 600 mm one. Compare the final pressure drop against the fan capacity of the AHU.
Comparing 1070 with the other classes on the sheet
Within the 600 mm depth the datasheet gives three classes at 3,400 m3/h: 1050 (M5, ePM10 50%) at 50 Pa and 929 kWh per year (class D), 1070 (M6, ePM10 70%) at 60 Pa and more than 1,300 kWh (class E), and 2570 (F7, ePM2.5 70%) at 120 Pa with 1,937 kWh (class D, 6 bags) or 110 Pa with 1,790 kWh (8 bags). The 1070 is therefore a mid-step: 10 Pa more than the 1050 for a 17 point gain in ePM10 efficiency (71% against 54%, as printed).
Order the exact type string 1070 592x592x600-6 and state the holding-frame arrangement. Energy figures follow Eurovent Guideline 4/21-2019 and class RS 4/C/001-2019. If your tender calls out an energy class, note that this 1070 is rated E and that the 2570 with 8 bags achieves D at the same footprint.
Specifying and receiving the filters
In tender documents, write the filter as Camfil Basic-Flo, type 1070, 592x592x600-6, ISO 16890 ePM10 70%. On delivery check the carton label against the type string and verify the pocket count and depth, since five- and six-bag versions of the same class share a name but differ in size.
Keep the filter dry: its relative humidity limit of 90 percent is below the 100 percent of other Camfil types. Mark the install date on the frame to track change-out intervals against the 160 Pa final pressure drop.
Typical use
Typical roles, in line with the printed application, are comfort air-conditioning AHUs and protection ahead of finer stages. The sheet does not list a hospital or cleanroom use for this type. See other filtration elements on the site.
Fitting and replacement notes
The Basic-Flo is an economy filter, so it is most useful as a prefilter ahead of finer stages or in comfort systems where a lower class is acceptable. Install it with the bags hanging vertically and a tight frame seal, monitor the pressure drop, and replace it on the pressure-drop limit given in the data sheet or the project maintenance plan rather than on appearance alone.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full filter code, the quantity, the housing or frame type it must fit, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any prefilters or accessories, so that the complete filter set can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Filter class, airflow, pressure drop and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Camfil is a Swedish air filtration company that has worked on clean air since 1963 and is headquartered in Stockholm. It supplies filters and filtration systems for commercial and industrial air handling, cleanrooms, air pollution control, molecular contamination control and gas turbine and engine air intakes.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Camfil filters against the exact type code on the Camfil data sheet, for HVAC contractors, facility teams and plant engineers in Oman and the GCC.
Camfil product series
Bag filters include the Cam-Flo ES ePM1 70%, the Basic-Flo ePM10 70% economy bag, the Hi-Cap CO60 coarse prefilter and the City-Flo ePM1 85% bag with activated carbon for urban air. The 30/30 panel prefilter is a pleated ePM10 50% filter for the first stage of an air handling unit.
Compact and box filters include the Opakair F8 and Airopac F7 filters, and HEPA filters include the Absolute VG H13 compact filter and the Megalam ProSafe MX14 H14 panel for cleanrooms and controlled environments. The CamClose compact coalescing pre-filter protects gas turbine and engine intakes against salt and moisture.
Where Camfil filters are used
Air handling units in offices, malls, hospitals and hotels, cleanrooms and laboratories, pharmaceutical and food plants, data centres, and gas turbine and compressor air intakes, where dust and humidity in the Gulf climate shorten filter life.
Ordering Camfil filters: what we need
Send the Camfil type code, or the filter class (ISO 16890 ePM rating or EN 1822 HEPA class), the face size and depth, the number of pockets for bag filters, the frame material, the airflow and the quantity. A photo of the label on the old filter usually gives all of this.
