Scinor products by category

Scinor makes ultrafiltration membranes and membrane modules using the thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) process. Seven Star LLC lists Scinor SMT600 ultrafiltration modules in both pressurized and submerged form and supplies them by exact module code to water treatment plants and industrial users in Oman and neighboring countries.

Scinor SMT600 modules listed here

Several module types are on this page, and three are described here. The SMT600-P40 and SMT600-P80 are pressurized ultrafiltration modules that sit in a rack and are fed by a pump. The SMT600-S60 is a submerged module that hangs in an open tank and works under suction. The letter after SMT600 tells you the configuration, so P and S modules are not interchangeable on the same skid.

Where Scinor membranes are used

The manufacturer serves industrial, desalination, municipal and wastewater treatment applications. Typical duties are pretreatment ahead of reverse osmosis, surface water clarification and wastewater reuse, which are common needs across the GCC.

Ordering Scinor modules: what we need

Send the full module code from the label, the number of modules per rack or cassette, the feed water type and whether the request is a like-for-like replacement or a new train. A photo of the existing end caps and connections helps us confirm the fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Scinor SMT600-P and SMT600-S modules?
P modules are pressurized: feed water is pumped through a closed housing mounted in a rack. S modules are submerged: the membrane bundle is immersed in an open tank and filtrate is drawn out by suction. The two types use different housings, headers and piping, so a replacement must match the configuration already on site.
How do I identify the Scinor module I have on site?
Read the label on the module shell or top header. It carries the model code, for example SMT600-P80, and usually a serial number. Send us both, together with a photo of the label and of the end connections. With that we can check the code against the Scinor documentation before quoting.
What does TIPS mean on Scinor ultrafiltration membranes?
TIPS stands for thermally induced phase separation. It is the manufacturing process Scinor uses to form its membrane fibers, and the company names it as the basis of its ultrafiltration products. For performance figures such as flux, pressure limits and cleaning chemical tolerance, rely on the datasheet for the exact module model.
What should I send to get a quotation for Scinor modules?
Send the module model, quantity, feed water source and quality data if available, required filtrate flow, and the make and model of the modules being replaced if it is a retrofit. Tell us which documents you need with the order, such as the datasheet or the manufacturer test report.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Scinor?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent industrial supplier based in Muscat. We source Scinor membrane modules through commercial channels, check the model or order code against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues with the order on request.
