Description

The Adam Equinox EPB 363 is a precision balance with 360 g capacity and 0.001 g (1 mg) readability, operated from a 5 in. (12.7 cm) colour touchscreen. It belongs to the Equinox EPB/ETB family of eleven models covering 360 g to 8200 g, used in research and quality assurance labs, science education, precision counting and production applications that need exact results.

Touchscreen operation for precision weighing

The 800 x 480 pixel display uses icon-driven menus and quick access to applications. The balance stores products and settings in built-in memory, offers password control, a preset tare function, parts counting with freely selectable sample sizes, memory accumulation totals, checkweighing with audible alarm and printouts with date and time for GLP records. A USB host port accepts a memory card, RS-232 connects a printer or computer, and a security slot allows a lock and cable.

Adam lists an AVT anti-vibration table, a density kit for the EPB, an in-use cover, USB and RS-232 cables, AIP impact and ATP 2 thermal printers with paper, a Kensington-type lock and cable, the AdamDU data collection program, an ABI-1 ioniser and F1 calibration weights from 100 g to 2 kg. Place the balance on a stable surface within 10 to 30 C and allow it to warm up before use.

Selecting the right Equinox

The EPB models (110 mm pan, 1 mg) suit sample and formulation work up to 2100 g, while the ETB models (185 x 185 mm pan, 10 mg) suit heavier loads up to 8200 g. Choose i for internal automatic calibration or e for external calibration; the EPB 363e, 723e, ETB 3202e, 6202e and 8202e are the external models. Stabilisation time varies from 2 to 4 seconds depending on the model. The datasheet does not list a legal-for-trade approval.
