Brand:

Axis P1465-LE 2 MP Outdoor Bullet Camera with IR

Description

A compact bullet camera for fences, walls and long approaches

The Axis P1465-LE is a bullet-style outdoor camera with a 2 MP sensor, deep learning processing and infrared lighting. Axis rates it IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10 and says it withstands winds up to 50 m/s, which suits poles, corners and fence lines where there is no shelter. The ARTPEC-8 chip supports AXIS Object Analytics, which detects and classifies humans, vehicles and vehicle types.

Two lens variants cover different distances: a 9 mm model with a 117 degree widest field of view and a 29 mm model that narrows to 29 degrees, adds electronic image stabilization and reaches 80 m with its IR. Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR handle low light and mixed lighting.

Selecting the lens, power source and accessories

Choose the 9 mm variant for gates, entrances and wide areas, and the 29 mm variant for long fence lines or approach roads. The tele model adds a longer IR reach but a narrower view, so size the pole height and distance with the Axis lens calculator named in the datasheet. Power can come from a PoE Class 3 switch or from a 10 to 28 V DC supply, which helps where no PoE is available.

Accessories listed by Axis include a J-box or gang box plate, a pole mount, a corner bracket, a conduit back box, the Weather Shield K and PoE midspans. The box contains the weather shield, cable gaskets, connector guard, terminal block connector and an owner authentication key.
