The Advantech EKI-2528 is an 8-port unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. It provides eight 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, in a compact IP30 metal housing for DIN-rail or wall mounting. It needs no configuration: plug in the field devices, PLCs, cameras or HMIs and apply power. The redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs and the fault relay make it suitable for cabinet-level machine and process networks where a managed switch is not required.

Choosing between the EKI-2528 and EKI-2528I
The datasheet covers two 8-port versions. The EKI-2528 operates from -10 to 60 degC. The EKI-2528I is the wide-temperature version for -40 to 75 degC, which suits outdoor cabinets and unheated enclosures. The same document also lists the 5-port EKI-2525 and EKI-2525I. Because this switch is unmanaged, it has no VLAN, redundancy protocol or monitoring features; if you need those, specify a managed switch such as the Hirschmann RS20 or see industrial communication.
What to confirm before ordering
Confirm the port count (5 or 8), the temperature grade, the DC supply voltage and whether you need the fault relay wired to your controller. Send the model with the quantity for a quotation.
