01How do I identify an IDS 850 card correctly?
Every card carries its type name, such as CC-88A or SM85A, and an order code that starts with 1600. Check the label for a hardware index and firmware version as well. Type names are sometimes written with or without a hyphen, so the order code is the safer reference. Photos of both sides of the card remove most doubts.
02Are IDS 850 cards still produced, and what replaces them?
Availability differs from card to card and has to be checked for each order code. The manufacturer's current telecontrol range is the ACOS 7 series, including the modular ACOS 750 and the smaller ACOS 730. Moving a station to a new platform is an engineering task for the system owner. We can report what the manufacturer states for your specific card.
03Does the firmware version matter when replacing a card?
Yes. A central or communication card works together with the other cards and with the station configuration, and a different firmware state can prevent the station from starting or communicating. Read the version from the label or from the engineering tool and include it in the inquiry. We pass it on so that a matching card is requested.

List each card with type, order code, hardware index, firmware version and quantity. Add the station or rack type, and say if you can accept a successor type named by the manufacturer or need the identical card only. Clear photos of the labels are welcome, because a single mistyped digit in a nine-digit order code points to a different card.
