Minimax MXOne Firefighting Turbine Water Mist Monitor

Description

Water mist powered by turbine force from a safe distance

The Minimax MXOne firefighting turbine protects large areas with an increased risk of fire outbreak and spread, wherever conventional systems reach their limits. Long throw distances, adjustable spray patterns and the use of different extinguishing media allow precise firefighting from a safe distance.

Minimax names a 4-in-1 effect: extinguishing, cooling, smoke extraction and binding of pollutants. Integrated controls execute predefined extinguishing scenarios automatically, or the unit can be aligned manually by radio remote control. The brochure states that performance, effectiveness and durability were tested and certified by FM Global and other independent testing institutes.

Applications, variants and system use

The brochure lists airports and hangars, waste incineration and recycling plants, substations and transformers, tank and storage logistics, and the paper and wood industry as versatile fields of use. The robust turbine is designed for harsh conditions, including high ambient temperatures in industrial environments.

Two variants are shown: a mobile version on a trailer for quick positioning at the scene of a fire, with pre-installed power and water connections, and a version on a standard flat rack with its own power and water supply, optionally with foam proportioning, where water replenishment from the local supply is possible through prepared connections.

MXOne can also be part of a stationary fire protection system together with water supply, valve stations, piping, industrial fire detectors and a fire extinguishing and control panel. Minimax states that, as a VdS-approved installation company, it takes responsibility for the process from design to commissioning and maintenance. For the water side of such a system, compare the Minimax FSX deluge valve set.

An air flow of 32,000 m3/h at about 120 km/h at the outlet and a 12.5 kW fan at 2,910 rpm give the turbine its reach, while the nozzle ring adds up to 800 l/min of water against a total maximum of 6,500 l/min. Inclination from -19 to +43 degrees with 360 degree rotation allows predefined scenarios to sweep a wide area, and two 3,000 lumen LED spotlights are fitted.

What to confirm before ordering

The unit draws 12.5 kW and needs a DN125 water connection at 4 to 16 bar, so site power (400 V 50 Hz or 480 V 60 Hz), the water supply and the foam option should be confirmed first. Please also tell us the protected hazard, the required throw distance, and whether trailer or flat rack is wanted.

About brand

Fire detection and extinguishing systems for industrial plants, data centers and logistics buildings are the business of Minimax, based in Bad Oldesloe, Germany. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Oman and lists Minimax fire control panels, detectors, a deluge valve set and the MxSysCon fire control configuration software, supplied with its licence dongle. We also take inquiries for Minimax fire protection components and spare parts identified by part number.

Minimax systems the software and parts belong to

The manufacturer's program covers fire detection and extinguishing control panels of the FMZ family and HELIOS aspirating smoke detectors. On the extinguishing side it builds deluge and other water-based systems, Minifog water mist, Oxeo inert gas and carbon dioxide systems, and spark extinguishing. Panel configuration software is tied to a specific panel generation. We did not find the name MxSysCon in the manufacturer's public documents, so the software version has to be checked against your panel type.

Ordering Minimax items: what we need

Send the Minimax part number, the type and firmware version of the control panel, and a photo of the panel label. For detectors, nozzles or valves, add the nameplate data and the approval the project specifies. Minimax systems are engineered per site, so a component is only correct when it matches the original system documents. We check that match for buyers across the GCC before the order is placed.
