Minimax Clunid Connect Fire Control Panel Networking Solution
Description
Networking old and new Minimax fire panels into one system
Clunid Connect is the Minimax solution for cross-generational networking of its fire detection and suppression control panel technologies. Through a hardware and a software interface, existing installations are networked and, where necessary, extended, so a site can modernise panel by panel instead of replacing everything at once.
The brochure describes two parts: the Clunid Gateway, which connects the different networks with each other, and the Clunid Operator, which visualises that interface on a separate operating panel. Operation of the FMZ 5000 and FMZ6000 control panels then happens from one central point, without a separate repeater panel installed only for that job.
Technical specifications
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Product type | Networking interface for Minimax fire detection and suppression control panels |
| Hardware interface | Clunid Gateway, connecting the different networks |
| Software interface | Clunid Operator, visualised on a separate operating panel |
| Panels covered | FMZ 5000 and FMZ6000 control panels (Clunid FMZ6000 and FMZ 5000 generations) |
| Networks shown in the brochure | 6kNet and MxNet |
| User interface | UCC interface inspired by the look and feel of Clunid FMZ6000 |
| Functions | Recording of data from network protocols; enabling and disabling detector groups, acoustic devices and the fire control system; filtering, printing and export of the message history |
| Connections | Connection to Inveron; connection to external systems via OPC UA and Modbus |
| Support | Clunid Operator also supports conversion of fire alarm control panels to the FMZ6000, with WebAccess support planned as a future benefit |
Why sites use it and how it operates
Minimax lists the advantages as cross-generational integration of existing and latest-generation systems, cross-network access to all control panels with location-independent operation and visualisation, and flexible modernisation that can be scaled to customer requirements and budgets. The step-by-step approach matters for plants where panels of several ages already run side by side.
With Clunid Operator the message history can be filtered, printed and exported, and detector groups, acoustic devices and the fire control system can be enabled or disabled from the central screen. Data from the network protocols is recorded, and the connection to Inveron and to external systems via OPC UA and Modbus lets building management or hazard management software read the panel network.
For a view of the newest panel generation, see the Minimax Clunid FMZ6000 page.
What to confirm before ordering
This is a system solution and not a catalogue part, so the quotation depends on the existing network. Please send the panel types and firmware generations installed (FMZ 5000, FMZ6000), which of 6kNet or MxNet is in use, the number of panels to be linked, and whether OPC UA, Modbus or Inveron connection is needed. A photo of each panel label speeds up the check.
Documents and quotation
The Minimax brochure PB60Fe is attached, including the generation diagram of the gateway and operator. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat; the scope is confirmed against your panel list before a quotation. Panels and controllers are grouped under Logic Controllers.

About brand
Fire detection and extinguishing systems for industrial plants, data centers and logistics buildings are the business of Minimax, based in Bad Oldesloe, Germany. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Oman and lists Minimax fire control panels, detectors, a deluge valve set and the MxSysCon fire control configuration software, supplied with its licence dongle. We also take inquiries for Minimax fire protection components and spare parts identified by part number.
Minimax systems the software and parts belong to
The manufacturer's program covers fire detection and extinguishing control panels of the FMZ family and HELIOS aspirating smoke detectors. On the extinguishing side it builds deluge and other water-based systems, Minifog water mist, Oxeo inert gas and carbon dioxide systems, and spark extinguishing. Panel configuration software is tied to a specific panel generation. We did not find the name MxSysCon in the manufacturer's public documents, so the software version has to be checked against your panel type.
Ordering Minimax items: what we need
Send the Minimax part number, the type and firmware version of the control panel, and a photo of the panel label. For detectors, nozzles or valves, add the nameplate data and the approval the project specifies. Minimax systems are engineered per site, so a component is only correct when it matches the original system documents. We check that match for buyers across the GCC before the order is placed.

The Clunid Gateway is the hardware interface that connects the various networks with each other.
Minimax states that Clunid Operator enables central cross-network control, so a separate control panel that only serves as a repeater is no longer needed.
The brochure lists connection to external systems via OPC UA and Modbus, and a connection to Inveron.
Yes, the brochure describes a gradual, step-by-step integration of existing networks into the Clunid system technology.
