Mapa Professional AdvanTech 519 Cleanroom Nitrile Gloves

Description

A latex-free nitrile glove made for critical environments

Mapa AdvanTech 519 is a 0.28 mm green chlorinated nitrile glove for what the sheet calls critical environments. Mapa Professional pairs the chemical protection of nitrile with excellent mechanical resistance, and the glove offers better resistance than natural latex gloves against organic solvents. It is also recommended for people sensitive to the proteins in natural latex and is hypoallergenic.

The manufacturing process controls particle content, non-volatile residues and extractables. The glove is washed, controlled and packaged in an ISO 5 room, and is described as Class 100 (ISO 5) compatible. It is silicone free. The EN ISO 374-1 result is Type B with letters J, O and T, and EN 374-5 covers bacteria and fungi.

Clean handling with limited chemical scope

Type B means at least three chemicals reached permeation level 2 (30 minutes); here three are listed, n-heptane, ammonia 25% and formaldehyde 37%. This is the narrowest chemical list in the lane, so confirm that your process chemical is on it, or ask Mapa for more data.

The EN 388 code 2001X reads abrasion 2, cut 0, tear 0 and puncture 1, which shows the glove is a thin barrier for clean handling and not a mechanical protection glove. Choose it when cleanliness and latex-free skin comfort are the priority. Sizes are 7 to 10, with bags of 1 or 12 pairs and cartons of 72 pairs.

Keeping the clean-room benefit

The cleanliness is a property of the packaging as much as of the glove. Keep the bag closed until use and handle the glove with clean tools so the ISO 5 processing is not wasted. The sheet quotes surface resistance of 7.3E+11 ohm, but gives no ESD approval.

Replace the glove after any tear or after contact with a chemical outside the list, and dispose of it according to site rules.

The sheet confirms silicone-free manufacture, no SVHC above 0.1% and no annex XVII substance, and gives EU type certificate 0075/014/162/10/18/2083 with quality assurance certificate 0334 from Asqual, Paris. Sizes 7 to 10 correspond to hand circumferences of about 178 to 254 mm under the EN ISO 21420 numbering (general information). The sheet does not state a glove length, so confirm it with the supplier if cuff coverage matters for your task, and check that the cleanroom handling you plan matches the ISO 5 packaging.

Laboratories, coating preparation and electronics

The sheet does not give an application list for this glove, only the advantages: solvent resistance beyond natural latex, a latex-protein-free alternative, and cleanroom manufacture. These point to laboratory work, surface preparation before painting, and electronics or pharmaceutical handling under controlled conditions, which are general conclusions from the data.

Selection and care notes

Cleanroom gloves must be stored in their original packaging until use so that the controlled cleanliness is not lost. Compare the chemical type and letters with the substances on site, and do not reuse a glove after it has been contaminated or stretched. Follow the cleanroom procedure of the site for donning and disposal.
