Brand: Tegera
Tegera 8846 Ultra-Thin Cut Level F Gloves with ATEX Approval
Description
The thinnest cut F glove in the Tegera range, with antistatic properties
Tegera 8846 is described by Ejendals as the world’s thinnest F/ANSI Cut A7 glove, knitted at 21 gauge with CRF Omni technology and HPPE cut protection fibre. It is built for high-precision work with very small, sharp objects, and it has a PU coating that grips in dry, moist and slightly oily conditions. The sheet states that the glove is approved for use in ATEX-protected work environments.
The antistatic requirement is documented with EN 16350:2014 and a printed resistance of R below 1.0 x 10 to the power 8 ohm. The palm is dipped in polyurethane, there is a reinforcement between thumb and index finger and touchscreen functionality at the fingertips. It is a light-weight Category II glove in black with a knitwrist textile cuff.

Cut F, antistatic and what that means for selection
Level F is the highest letter on the EN ISO 13997 scale used in EN 388, and the printed TDM value is 33.1 N. The EN 388 code 2X42F gives abrasion 2, blade cut not tested, tear 4 and puncture 2. This is a cut and precision glove, not a heavy abrasion glove, so a high abrasion rating is not to be expected from a 21 gauge liner.
If your work involves potentially explosive atmospheres, check the printed antistatic value and the ATEX statement against your zone requirements and site rules, because the glove is only one part of an antistatic equipment set. The sheet also gives an ANSI/ISEA cut value of A7 in its description. Choose the size carefully: the glove is thin and any slack at the fingertips defeats the dexterity it is chosen for.
Handling a thin high-performance glove
Because the liner is thin, avoid contact with welding spatter, hot surfaces and open flame. No heat rating is printed on the sheet. Use the touchscreen fingertips to operate handheld tablets on inspection rounds without removing the glove.
Inspect the polyurethane coating regularly. Once it wears through to the liner, abrasion resistance drops quickly. Wash only as the label instructs and let the pair dry naturally, away from heat.
Where very fine cut protection matters
The sheet lists assembly, metalwork, sheet-metal work and the paper industry, with automotive repair, building and construction, and pulp and paper as industries. The thin form suits small-part assembly, sheet-edge handling, instrument fitting and inspection tasks around pumps, panels and cable trays, where gloves must be sensitive enough to feel small fasteners.
Selection and care notes
Use the glove where fine, sharp parts are handled and a thin glove helps dexterity. The ATEX approval and antistatic data apply to the glove as tested, so check the requirement of the hazardous area classification and the site rules before use, and keep the glove clean, because contamination can change the antistatic behaviour. Replace it when the coating or fibre is damaged.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full glove code, the size range, the quantity in pairs, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and the hazards the glove must cover, so that the complete supply can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Standards, performance levels and sizes are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and construction projects.

About brand
Tegera is the safety glove brand of Ejendals AB, a Swedish maker based in Leksand. Each Tegera glove is sold under a short model number, and the product sheet for that number prints the EN 388, EN 407, EN 511 or EN ISO 374-1 results behind the markings.
Seven Star LLC lists Tegera gloves for welding, chemical handling, cut risk, cold weather and power-tool work, and supplies them to contractors and plant owners in Oman against the exact model number and size.
Tegera glove models on this page
The range here covers the Welding 7788 goatskin glove, the Chemforce 7350 winter-lined nitrile and Chemforce 8160 latex gloves, the Oil Grip 8855 and ultra-thin 8846 cut resistant gloves, the 8821 high-visibility knit, the Pro 9102, Pro 9126 and anti-vibration Pro 9180A, and the Dynamic Strength 7776 impact and cut glove.
Where Tegera gloves are used
Welding and fabrication yards, chemical and petrochemical handling, mechanical maintenance with oily parts, cold stores and grinding or chipping work are the usual places. The Ejendals data sheets name oil and gas extraction, metal fabrication, mining and building among their industries.
Ordering Tegera gloves: what we need
Send the model number, the size and the number of pairs. Ejendals article numbers add the size, for example 7788-9 for a large. For chemical gloves also give the substances, because the permeation results are printed for only a few test chemicals.
